Victoria Falls dry season tour, Livingstone, Zambia

I took a walk along the main trail at Victoria Falls (Mosi-o-tunya Falls) and it was interesting.
This was in October, when the place is dry and hot, and when there is very little water. But I discovered that the falls is a beautiful place at any time of the year. Magnificent in full flood, and calling for adventure in the dry.
This was the same day I found a pool and went swimming ????

Will upload another video explaining the helicopter rides, the abseiling I discovered and a few other missing clips.

I also intend to return to Livingstone soon to do a video now that the falls are alive and roaring with water ???? ???? ????.

Victoria Falls Zambia - The Royal Livingston Hotel

After 37 hour of Flying I finally arrived in Livingston airport in Zambia. It was well worth it to mark Victoria Falls, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, off of my bucket list./ WHile here I chose to stay at the Royal Livingston Hotel, as close as you can get to Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. Traveling in September it had been pretty dry, so Victoria Falls was not in its full glory, but it was still spectacular. Staying at the Royal Livingston, you get complimentary access to the falls. A guide offered to take me to the Devils pool, which I declined, due to it being late and I was totally exhausted. He would not take no for an answer and next thing I knew, I was swimming in the pool looking over the spectacular falls!!!

Victoria Falls, Livingstone, Zambia

We traveled to Livingstone, Zambia from Lusaka (the capital of Zambia) in 2011. Livingstone is a quaint little town with lots for visitors to do and experience. Most of the activities center around Victoria Falls for obvious reasons. In addition to visiting the Falls (which is amazing after the rainy season - usually November to the end of March), we also did the tandem gorge swing (operated by Abseil Zambia) and went to the Crocodile Farm. (Other activities: river rafting, bungee jumping, ziplining, abseiling, helicopter flights, river cruises, horseback riding, quad bike riding...The list goes on!)

There is so much to do at Victoria Falls from both the Zimbabwe side, and the Zambia side. Aside from actually seeing the falls, we managed to squeeze in some white water rafting, and a trip to the devils pool. Both were incredible!

A walk from Zimbabwe to Zambia, at Victoria Falls

Zimbabwe and Zambia are connected by a hundred-year-old bridge spanning a gorge over the Zambezi River, near the famous Victoria Falls. In September 2014, I walked across the bridge with my video camera. This film shows some of what I saw, heard, and learned along the way.
