Wright's Front Range Lighthouse, Victoria, Prince Edward Island
The present Wrights Front Rage Light, a white, square, pyramidal tower that stands 12 feet tall, replaced the original structure in 1903. It used to show a red light that produced a 0.5-second flash every second from a window near the top of the channel face of the tower. The rear tower is located 2,280 feet from the front range, and displayed a two-second, red flash every four seconds.
The Coast Guard deactivated Wrights Range in 2011.
Location: Located just west of the harbour at Victoria.
Latitude: 46.20479

Leards Range Front Lighthouse, Victoria, Prince Edward Island
Located in the village of Victoria (Victoria by the Sea), Prince Edward Island, this tower was established in 1879. The white, square, pyramidal wood frame tower stands 35 feet high and has a metal lantern room at the top.
Until recently the lantern room housed two fixed lights and acted as both the Leards Range Front Lighthouse also the Palmer Range Rear Light. However the tower now houses a single rotating white beacon.
The tower is also home to the Victoria Seaport Museum.

Murray Harbour Range Lighthouse, July 2013
This small tower is the front range light, it was built in 1878 and is located in the community of Beach Point, Prince Edward Island.
The tower displays a fixed red light. This structure stands about twenty-four feet tall, with a vertical red stripe on its seaward face. The companion rear range light stands about forty-five feet tall, also featuring a red stripe on its white tower, and exhibits a fixed red light at a focal plane of fifty-eight feet.
Storm surges in December of 2010 swept the front range light away, but the Department of Fisheries and Ocean (DFO) dragged the tower back to land and left it lying on its side.
Several months later a crane was brought in to place the tower atop a new concrete foundation. Repairs were made to the tower and it has been placed back in service. Currently it is in excellent condition.

Summerside Harbour Outer Range Lighthouses, Prince Edward Island
The Summerside Outer Range Lights, which began operation in 1991, are the most recent set of enclosed range lights to be established on Prince Edward Island. When properly aligned, the red range lights guide vessels to the mouth of Summerside Harbour, near the Indian Head Lighthouse, from where they can use the Summerside Range Lights to proceed up the harbour.
The two lighthouses are similar in appearance, both being square, pyramidal towers topped by enclosed, square lantern rooms that are surrounded by a simple metal gallery. A white, trapezoidal daymark with a red vertical stripe is mounted on the seaward face of both towers. The front tower is 9 metres (29.5 feet) tall, while the rear tower is 10.1 metres (33.2 feet) tall. As the front tower is located near the shore at the western end of the harbour, its focal plane of 9.3 metres (30.6) is roughly the same height as the tower. The focal plane of the rear range light is 14.8 metres (48.5 feet).

TWO RANGE LIGHTS
The Margaree Harbour Range Lights, on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia are deteriorating, and we need your support to help our community restore them to their original beauty. These are not the more common lighthouses which warn ships of danger, to “stay away;” ours are two Directional or Range Lights,” welcoming seafarers in, showing them a safe path to harbour.
They are geographic and historical icons of our area, Nova Scotia and Canada, and are still being used—a direct link with our past. Descendants of the men who took care of the lights in the past, and others who sailed under these lights, still use them today. They are simple, square, sturdy wooden structures, held down by cables and have withstood whatever nature has thrown at them in our extreme climate for 115 years. Other lighthouses are being replaced by steel poles with a light on top.
At any given time there are about 25-30 local lobster or crab fishing boats at our wharf; from the opening of the season at the beginning of May through to December, the boats are busy. Fisherpeople continue to set sail here in the early hours of the day, and, even with the modern navigational aids such as GPS, they can still use these lights for guidance and comfort when returning home at night. The history of Margaree’s onshore fishery, characterized by individual owner-operators, is a vital part of our history, our culture and our understanding of ourselves.
Our community supports our efforts to save and restore the two Lights once they are transferred to us. Fortunately this simple, square, wooden design will also allow the community to readily maintain them in future. Following the transfer of ownership, we want to refurbish them to their original condition. These Lighthouses still have good bones, but minor structural fixes are necessary. Some trim and glass needs repair, the cedar-shakes will be replaced and finally, a fresh coat of paint applied.
We hope you will become honorary members of our community and participants in our history by supporting the Lights!!

St. Paul Island Lighthouse, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia
This small metal lighthouse once stood on St. Paul Island, a remote island located in the Cabot Strait to the north of Cape Breton. The tower replaced and earlier wood frame structure destroyed by fire going into service in 1917 and was in use until 1962 when automated systems made it obsolete. After decommissioning it was dismantled and moved to the Canadian Coast Guard base in Dartmouth. Following a decade long effort the tower was moved back to Cape Breton this time to the community of Dingwall where it now sits beside the St. Paul Island Museum.

Cape Jourimain Lighthouse, New Brunswick
The Cape Jourimain Lighthouse is a heritage lighthouse built in 1870 and is renowned for its beautiful construction. The lighthouse was automated in 1970, and was decommissioned in 1997 with the opening of the Confederation Bridge. The wooden, octagonal lighthouse that stands seventy-two feet tall was designated a Federal Heritage Building in 1991 due, in part, to classically inspired details such as the elongated bracketed cornice, the use of belt courses and crown trims and the prominent gallery guardrail.
The lighthouse is easily seen from the Confederation bridge. It is situated on the grounds of the Cape Jourimain Nature Center and is accessible using the parks trail system.
The tower is dangerously close to the shoreline due to erosion and needs to be moved, it is also in deteriorating condition and badly needs repairs.
