Seychelles #1 of top restaurant in Victoria - The Market Bistro
The BISTRO MARKET is a good place to do a pause in the hustle and bustle of the market. From there, you can catch a bird's eye view of its culture between the stalls, the buyers, the vendors and the wanderers.
The BREAKFAST starts at 7.30am with a selection of full english, vegetarian and healthy breakfast with fruit kebabs and muesli. The LUNCH starts at 11.30am and caters from a light bite through a creole buffet consisting of around 8 dishes of typical creole food. If you don't have time to sit down, we offer take away options. The DRINKS menu offers a wide selection of fresh fruit juices (5 fruit mix, passion fruit, sour sop among the favourites), smoothies, milk-shakes and home-made rum with lychee, passion fruit and ginger. From 10am to 3pm on Saturdays, the restaurant offers some entertainment and clients get to enjoy the beats of local bands.

Seychelles Capital Victoria on a sunny day
Views from the hillsides overlooking Victoria and the bay, and down to the busy Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market in center of town. While in town we pass the clock tower at the beginning of Independence Avenue, and the Bicentennial monument at the other end of the street. Also in central town we check out the Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple, the only Hindu temple in the Seychelles.
He Works 365 Days Every Year (Seychelles)
My visit to the Seychelles has been underwhelming (if I'm being nice). The combination of bad weather and a public holiday has left me stranded with almost nothing to do, nobody to meet and no sites to see.
But amid all of my loneliness, I managed to find one small shop open in the capital town of Victoria, where I was kindly greeted by an Indian man, named Hari Haran, who was working behind the counter.
After speaking with him for just a few minutes and getting to know his life story (and struggles), I asked for his permission to record our talk and put it on my FB page. He agreed, and that is what you are about to watch in this video. Can you believe that he works 365 days every year? Could you ever work 365 days in one year?
Listening to his story is a reminder to be thankful if you are happy with your job and are able to live closely with your loved ones. Unfortunately for Hari Haran, this is not the case.
Despite his tough situation, we managed to connect while having a very nice conversation. I'm telling you guys, the most rewarding part about traveling is getting to meet people from all walks of life.

Early the next day, I found a market in downtown Victoria. There are quite a few people who went to see the early morning bowls. Named after an English doctor who worked in the colonial Seychelles, this mayor is the only traditional market in Mahe. This market is Selwyn Clark. It was built before you were born. Located in the center of Victoria, many people come here to buy and sell fish and vegetables. Here you can meet the real Creole people, meet the true Creole people and experience the true creole culture. There are various fishes on the entrance side of the market, which is an island nation. It is said that it came directly from the sea around the island today. A friend recommends fish. This is 'Calonvalou'. It is a famous fish in Seychelles. How is the taste? Very good. Not only fish, but also a variety of spices for creole dishes and fresh fruits are also available here. A trader says it is a Seychelles native fruit. This is the Seychelles orange. I've eaten my own mouth and recommend it to me. It's a little bit cheerful. Confidently mouth! I seemed to put the whole lemon in my mouth when I was less ripe, but I bought two bags for the overflowing kindness. There are many tourists who say that it is the traditional market where the best view of the daily life of the locals can be seen. Everyone seems satisfied with this unusual experience. Yeah, I think it's a little more lively here. It's a very fun market. Fresh and cool. It's fun to see people. You can see people from all over the world. I think it's a fun market. I also saw a lot of fruits I did not know. For example, I am seeing this fruit for the first time. So I like this place very much. It was a place to meet the real Seychelles daily life.
