Thompson's Beach, Victoria Point - See what we got up to!
The kids loved playing at Thompson's Beach, Victoria Point, Australia. When the tide is out you can play on the sand flats and discover the creatures that live there.
Marlay Point Reserve Freecamp near Sale, VIC Australia
Marlay Point Rest Area provides parking on a gravel surface with some shade. There is a boat ramp nearby and great views across the lake.
This is a beautiful spot and a perfect stopover, prior to travelling to Tasmania on the ferry. Has flush toilets and grass area for vans or tents and under or near trees as well. Right on the waters edge.
The camping area is on the waters edge and if the wind is not too strong, it is certainly one of the most tranquil spots you can wish for. Great fishing here too, with some huge fish being landed at this location.

Tower Hill game reserve, Victoria, Australia 1
Tower Hill wildlife reserve, Victoria, Australia 2011
Tower Hill is an inactive volcano on the south-west coast of Victoria, Australia. Within the crater, the explosion also formed a series of small cones (known as scoria cones) and spheres surrounded by a crater lake.Tower Hill volcano is roughly 4 km wide and 80 m high. It has a gradient altering between 10% to 80% at the higher points.
Now part of the state park system as the Tower Hill State Game Reserve, it previously saw service as a pasture for stock animals, fields for crop growing, a stone quarrying, an unofficial motorcycle racing venue, a source of free timber, and a convenient community rubbish dump. By the middle of the last century the hills were almost completely denuded and virtually the only wildlife to be found were waterfowl that came to the crater lakes. The area has been reforested with native flora, and repopulated with native fauna over the past 40 years.

Victoria Point to Coochiemudlo Island Phantom 4 drone
Despite the heat we headed to the coast for a look at someplace new.
There wasn't much at Victoria point (although the streets lined with poinciana's were nice) so after the completing the challenge set of flying from Victoria Point over to Coochiemudlo Island we just headed back.

Adventure Victoria - Kayaking in snowy river
We've had a camping in BalleyHooly for 3 night accidentally (Our destination was Jackson crossing ). Too risky to cross the Jackson crossing at a night time, fortunately we just got an alternative from the local.
Turn off Basin Road at GPS -37.490904, 148.234497 and follow an unsealed road. When you reach a 4-way intersection after approx 3 km's turn right then follow the road until you reach the camping site.
This is suitable for tents, camper trailers but not for caravans. It is 2WD accessible in the dry. There are approx 10 km of windy steep gravel road.
Carry all the fuel, food, drinking water and equipment you will need during your stay.
The Snowy River offers thrilling canoeing and white water rafting opportunities with rugged gorges, rapids, flat sections with sand bars and beautiful scenery. The gently sloping sand bars make ideal camp sites for extended trips.
The most popular section is from McKillops Bridge to the Buchan River junction at Balley Hooley. This trip takes three-four days to complete.
