Style: Imperial Stout
Tunbridge Wells, England
Serve in Snifter
COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Special.
Intense, dark, brooding, sinister...and really rather tasty, Gothic Imperial Stout is our first dark beer to be bottled. It features ten different malts and a blend of English, German and American hops which combine to produce a complex rich dark sensation with a hint of sour fruits.
Best drunk in a remote moorland farmhouse, on a stormy night with a full moon and a sense of foreboding

Introducing our new everyday beer, Bibble ( Which means to drink regularly here in Somerset!)
Brewed with Vienna Malt and Oats, an unusual mouth filling malt base. Hopped with beautiful Mosaic hops, renowned for their tropical fruit beauty, helped along with some nice orangey Amarillo hops both at the end of the boil and in the dry hop. It is unfined, so naturally hazy. A moreish bitterness is complimented by tropical fruit tastiness.

Commercial Description - Beer and Bread have been showing off the magic of yeast for thousands of years, we decided to combine the two. The old and the new, contemporary ideas and historical techniques and ingredients, a very special beer that combines all these things and more. 6 months before we even had a brewery we started talking to Tom Herbert about the Hobbs House Bakery's 58 year old Sourdough yeast, and whether we could use it to ferment a beer. Tom was excited, we were excited! After a year of trials (each trial took a really long time to develop) we decided to loosely base the beer on a Berliner Weisse style - a historical Sour beer style from Northern Germany, but with a Wild Beer slant to it. We have used the 58 year old sourdough culture and a little brettanomyces and put the beer straight into oak barrels for its primary fermentation. It has been slowly fermenting, maturing and souring for 4 months in the barrels and will continue to evolve and develop in the bottle. There is a lovely gentle rounded fruity sourness to this beer. It isn't harsh, and its low alcohol makes it the perfect brunch beer to enjoy with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on some Hobbs House Bakery Sourdough. Serve chilled.

Commercial Description
Rye adds a distinctive, spicy flavour to beer that is both interesting and enjoyable. It’s even better when paired with smoked malt. If you’re not used to smoked beer it may come as a bit of a surprise. Don’t worry, by the third one you’ll be hooked and book a ticket to Bamberg. Book an extra one for me please.

Moor Beer Co - Revival - Beer Review #482
Brewery - Moor Beer Company (UK)
Beer - Revival
Style - Pale Ale
ABV - 3.8%
Commercial Description
Moor Beer Revival – A very hoppy and refreshing bitter, brewed to celebrate the revival of the brewery, and meant to revive you when you need it. Light in colour but not flavour thanks to a blend of Pale, Lager, Cara, Crystal and Wheat malts. The hops are a blend of American varieties, with American-style yeast providing a crisp finish. For a beer relatively low in alcohol it has a very full flavour and drinks well above its strength, earning it a multitude of awards and setting the standard for the style. A modern classic!

Our version of the 'West Coast' IPA - the beer that sparked a revolution
When Brett arrived from California he couldn’t believe there weren’t any of his beloved ‘West Coast’ IPAs readily available in the UK. This beer is his version of the style that sparked the craft beer revolution in the US.
Among the orchards and pastures of the green and pleasant Somerset countryside you’ll find our unusual brewery. Our neighbours at Westcombe Dairy make one of the finest Cheddars in the world and Madness balances its intensity and flavours perfectly.
Open the bottle to a tropical punchbowl of aromas, as this beer is all about the hops. There are masses and masses of late hops and dry hops to maximise the beautiful flavours and aromas, so you can experience wave after wave of tropical and citrus fruits

Our pale ale, made with northern and southern hemisphere hops
Created with a passion for flavour and a lust for hops — this is a frisky, fragrant pale ale. Whilst consistency is (rightly) the benchmark of most beers, we’ve gone Wild and thrown away the rulebook on this one.
Every six months we source some of the most interesting hops from the northern and southern hemispheres, which means two hop harvests and two excitingly different hop profiles.
Given the unpredictability of each harvest, you’re guaranteed a punchy hop character alongside an appetising bitterness and a crisp dry finish that will send you back for more.
The last 5 batches of Fresh included the following hops...
Brew 249 - Chinook, Columbus, Centennial

Lez See Nova Scotia | Lesbian Travel Couple | Canada
We visited the Canadian province of Nova Scotia on our cross-country road trip this summer. Our favourite spots were the restaurants and craft breweries in Halifax, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, and the iconic Peggy's Cove.

Halifax is a really open minded city, and we felt very comfortable and accepted. We stayed in the unofficial gayborhood in the North End. There were a lot of great cafes and restaurants in the area, our favourites being The Nook on Gottingen and enVie Vegan Kitchen. Halifax also has a great selection of craft breweries. We enjoyed Garrison Brewing Co and their delicious seasonal beers. We recommend visiting the waterfront for great food and a beautiful view. We visited on a very foggy day, but you can usually see across the water to Dartmouth! There are plenty of patios to grab a quick bite, or sit down for a nice meal.
Lunenburg is a must visit in Nova Scotia. The town is adorable, and the waterfront marina is home to many impressive ships including the famous Bluenose II.
We also highly recommend a visit to Peggy's Cove. While it's busy with tourists on any given day, it's still one of the most beautiful spots in Canada and well worth the trip! The drive through the surrounding fishing villages is also very stunning, and you could easily spend an entire day exploring the area.

We have a passion for flavour and a lust for hops — this frisky, fragrant pale ale is the result. Whilst consistency is (rightly) the benchmark of most beers, we’ve gone Wild with Fresh and thrown away the rulebook. Every six months we source some of the most exciting hops from both the northern and southern hemispheres, which means two hop harvests and two excitingly different hop profiles.

This is a beer we like to drink all through the year. We think you will too.
The first brew of Fresh has copious amounts of New Zealand hops in it. We particularly love the sherbet lemon aromas in the Southern Cross.

This is Life & Death.
Three kilos of hops and forty kilos of barley selflessly give their lives to brew every barrel of this beer. It’s a lot to ask, but their reincarnation as this life-affirming IPA makes their sacrifice worthwhile.
A ballsy, US style IPA, expect flavours of tropical & citrus fruits, with a lingering bitterness set against a smooth malty backbone.

Cask: Regular.
The yeast strain used for the brewing of the pale, dry American Ales is specially imported from the USA, along with Cascade and Centennial hops, to produce this pale ale. The low colour Maris Otter malt provides a perfect light colour and dryness to complement the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops.
