Ryan Serhant began his first day in the real estate business on September 15, 2008 – the same day that Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy in the wake of the subprime mortgage collapse. While the real estate sector has steadily recovered, Serhant himself has quickly become one of the most successful brokers in the world, with agents under his leadership in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami and the Hamptons. The Serhant Team has been named by WSJ Real Trends as the #1 real estate team in New York for two years in a row, and the #2 team in the country, selling close to $1 billion in real estate last year. Ryan is consistently the youngest broker to make the Journal’s top ten list each year.
Ryan stars in the popular Bravo series “Million Dollar Listing New York,” which just wrapped its seventh season. On September 18, 2018 – the week of his 10-year anniversary in real estate – he will debut his first book, Sell It Like Serhant. When pre-sales were announced, Ryan was #1 on Amazon’s daily list of “Movers and Shakers.” As star and producer, this year he also debuted his new Bravo show, Sell It Like Serhant, started a successful vlog (youtube.com/ryanserhant) and launched an app (Agent Empire: NYC). There is nothing Ryan can't do. His motto communicates his professional and personal philosophy, Expansion. Always. In all ways.

WRECK PBR legend Chris Shivers hangs up on Smackdown on his final ride
Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is an international professional bull riding organization based in Pueblo, Colorado, United States. In the United States, PBR events have been televised on CBS and CBS Sports Network since 2013.[1][2] More than 1,200 cowboys from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and other countries hold The organization began in 1992 through the efforts of 21 professional bull riders who gathered in a hotel room in Scottsdale, Arizona and each contributed $1,000.[3] Since that time, the organization has grown to include three tours (the Built Ford Tough Series, Touring Pro Division, and Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour) which collectively stage over 100 events in the United States every year. Prize money has exploded from over $330,000 in 1994 to over $11 million in 2008. In 2007, investment firm Spire Capital Partners acquired a majority stake in PBR.[4]
The PBR moved to its current headquarters in Pueblo, Colorado in 2006. Its original headquarters were located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The PBR's premier tour, the Built Ford Tough Series (formerly the Bud Light Cup Series), includes at most 30 events across the United States every year. Pyrotechnics, pulsating music, and special effects open each event, and each features the top 35 riders in the world at the time. The season culminates in Las Vegas,[5] where the PBR World Finals are held.
Riders attempt to stay on a bucking bull for eight seconds, and rides are judged based on both the rider's and the bull's performance, with four judges scoring both the rider and the bull each from one to twenty five points, the scores are totalled and divided by two, with the final possibility of one hundred points. At the end of each event, the top 15 riders compete in the short round, or short go; the rider with the highest point total from the entire event becomes the winner.
Since 2003, the PBR has awarded its annual world champion a $1,000,000 bonus.PBR
Since 2003, the PBR has awarded its annual world champion a $1,000,000 bonus.
From 2007–2010, the PBR also hosted a team competition format called the PBR World Cup, where 25 bull riders (altogether representing five different countries) competed to win the title of best bull rider in the worldmemberships.
Total viewership, including event attendees and the television audience, grew 52 percent between 2002 and 2004. In 2004, 16.4 million fans watched or attended a PBR event. By 2008, over 100 million watched the PBR on television, and over 1.7 million attended a live event.
The original CEO of the PBR was Sam Applebaum.[6] Then Randy Bernard became CEO of the PBR in 1995, a position he held until he resigned in 2010 to become the CEO of INDYCAR.[7] On February 23, 2011, the PBR announced that Jim Haworth had become its new CEO.[8] Then on June 29, 2015, the PBR announced that Haworth was promoted to Chairman, while COO Sean Gleason had become the new CEO.[9]
Canada, Brazil, Australia, and Mexico each have their own PBR tours, and points earned on those tours count towards the U.S. qualifier standings and a spot in the PBR World Finals. A tour in China was scheduled to begin sometime in 2015 and PBR New Zealand was set to debut in Christchurch on November 13, 2014. Opportunities for expansion into Argentina are being explored as well.
WME | IMG bought the PBR in April 2015.[10]

Factual America | Building a Border Wall In Texas | Ft. Sebastian Sauerborn
We discuss building a border wall in Texas and the impacts that come with it using the documentary film The River and The Wall (2019).
Subscribe for more from Factual America:
In The River and the Wall (2019), a group of modern-day adventurers led by filmmaker Ben Masters sets out on a 1,200-mile journey along the Texas-Mexico border to understand the economic, environmental and social impact of President Donald Trump’s border wall.
They not only encounter a land of soaring vistas, outstanding natural beauty and unrivaled ruggedness but also discover something about themselves and the immigrant experience.
In this episode we are joined by Sebastian Sauerborn, German entrepreneur, founder of Alamo Pictures and CEO of Mount Bonnell Advisors. Sebastian immigrated to Texas when he moved his business, and shares his experiences living and working there to discuss an issue that divides America but unites those who make their living along the Rio Grande river.
“Immigration was not a problem in Texas, these immigrants they are not on the public pocket. They have jobs, they work hard, they are needed, these jobs need to be done. So I think a very positive approach would be the right answer.” – Sebastian Sauerborn
01:02 – About the guest.
01:50 – The documentary we will be looking at today, The River and The Wall.
03:35 – What the film is about.
05:38 – A clip from the film, being on the Texas-Mexico border wall.
08:14 – Analysing the clip and the characters within it.
10:27 – The problems that building a wall brings with it.
13:01 – How illegal immigration has been steadily declining, but is still seen as such a big issue.
16:23 – Sebastian’s experience with being an immigrant in the United States.
21:11 – The personal journeys of self discovery that are shown in the film.
24:02 – Another clip from the film, the wildness of the US/Mexico border.
27:12 – The beauty of the film, and its defiance of stereotypes.
29:32 – The seriousness of the issue, but how our focus should be redirected.

The first Constitutional Convention met at Washington on the Brazos on March 1st, 1836. Most of the delegates were under 40 years old, and all had been elected for the express purpose of declaring the independence of Texas from Mexico and forming a government for the new republic. No one knew when they all might have to leave to fight the advancing Mexican army.
On the opening day a “Norther” blew through and the temperature inside the meeting hall–a wooden building with scraps of cloth for windows and doors–was 33 degrees. Flying over the hall was the flag designed and made by Sarah Dodson.
Recognized as the first “Lone Star” flag, she originally created it for her husband Archelaus, a member of the Robinson company of army volunteers formed in September, 1835, at Harrisburg, Texas. After serving at Gonzales, this company marched under the Dodson flag to San Antonio to lay seige to the Alamo.
Like practically all of the Texas volunteers, these men returned to their homes after San Antonio had been taken from the Mexicans, not realizing the strength of the Mexican reinforcements invading Texas. After the Mexicans crushed the remaining forces at the Alamo and massacred the Texans at Goliad, the Robinson company was assigned to protect the retreating civilians. This exodus was known as the “Runaway Scrape.”
The refugees could hear the cannon fire of the battle of San Jacinto, and doubled their pace, fearing the worst. A courier on horseback from Sam Houston caught up with the convoy, and the families of Texans learned of their thrilling victory at San Jacinto.
175 years later on November 8th, 2011 Tuesday night at 8:30 pm in a Texas Hold-em poker game, Dale Francis Wamstad went all in with The Four Sisters. The Four Sisters were trying to stare down Dale. Although he only had a pair of 4’s, he noticed Hilda the oldest sister blinking rapidly. The marathon game had lasted 9 hours and 23 minutes. Dale had noticed Hilda had blinked 18 times a minute and now that her blinks had increased to 87 times a minute. He called the Four Sisters bluff with King high, and won with the pair of 4’s. Dale Francis Wamstad now had complete control of the magnificent New Frontier. He immediately changed the name of Four Sisters Cafe to Texas, adding a new flare to the menu, and changing the servers outfits to a Texas/Vegas style. Dale, along with his children Dale Tervooren, Dane & Shelby, hopes that the magnificent Texas will reign as a magnificent dining establishment for many years to come.
