Evangelism not allowed near Victoryland in Shorter Alabama
On December 19, 2012, Jason Carter and I went to stand with signs outside Victoryland Casino in Shorter Ala near the public road leading to it. We were grateful to have many conversations with people who stopped to talk to us. We were not protesting, but using the opportunity to speak that ALL men have rebelled against God and are sinners and in need of salvation from God's wrath and God has made that possible only through Christ and that if we repent and hold fast to God's word that Christ paid our fine, we will be saved. Ten or so minutes after we met with the Victoryland police, the Shorter town clerk,the police chief, and the fire chief appeared and said we needed a permit to stand with a sign across the street. Even on public lands...Told us we could get a permit, but not today since we had an incident. All is well though, the signs said it all and tracts were passed out. Very thankful for the opportunity.

Tyson Rests Case in Macon County VictoryLand Hearing - Does not call wittnesses
Governor Riley's Anti-Illegal Gambling Task Force Commander John Tyson rested his case in the suit against him in Macon County, Alabama. Tyson was on the witness stand all of last Friday being questioned by lawyers for the plaintiffs (Macon County DA E. Paul Jones, Sheriff Warren, the County Commission, and three residents). The suit had asked that Tyson be retrained from taking any action with his task force against V ictoryLand Casino.
Tyson did not call any witness when court went into session today. Plaintiffs had rested their case Friday.
Judge Young had issued a Temporary7 Restraining order earlier. The order expires today at 5:00pm. The judge said he will issue his decision by 5:00pm.
Tyson said that the plaintiffs failed to show they had standing in the case because n one had a financial interest in VictoryLand.
