Searching for the elusive Budapest Wooden Rollercoaster, Hullamvasuk, Vidampark, City Park, Hungary
Summer 2018 and whilst in Budapest, Hungary we hear of an elusive Wooden Rollercoaster (Hullamvasuk) hidden in the depths of the cities largest Park (Varosliget) near Heroes Square and the beautiful Vajdahunyad Castle. So we set off on our quest to find it, even though we knew Vidampark had been closed for sometime we were not about to give up. Past the Hungarian circus and behind the works to Budapest zoo we caught sight of this, one of the worlds oldest Wooden Rollercoasters dating back from the 1920's still looking pretty fine but alas not running. We are still trying to establish if this coaster will be refurbished and re open as part of the on going improvements of the zoo, but at this time with lack of information we can only hope !! until then enjoy the video and at the end you can enjoy an archived pov from the ride itself

A Budapesti Vidámpark végső bezárás előtt - búcsú MC Mike-kal
A Budapesti Vidámpark 2013.09.30-án végleg bezár. A park története 1838-ra, 175 évvel korábbra nyúlik vissza. Az utolsó hétvégén tettünk még egy kört a Vidámparkban. Szomorú vidámparkos zene helyett a Polip nevű játéknál élőben szövegelő MC Mike-ot választottuk zenei aláfestésnek.

Búcsúzik a budapesti Vidámpark
2013. szeptember 1-étől végleg bezárt a 175 éves múltra visszatekintő budapesti Vidámpark, a területet pedig a Fővárosi Állatkert vette át. Az ikonikus helyszín emlékére a We Love Budapest készített egy rövid dokumentumfilmet, amelyben megszólal Hanga Zoltán, az Állatkert szóvívője és Árendás Éva, a Vidámpark szóvívője, akik a bezárás okairól és az új tervekről beszéltek.

Németországi rokonaimnak köszönhetően került megörökítésre a budapesti vidámpark 1994-es állapota. A video eredetileg családi video, így az eredetileg csaknem 15 perces anyag a személyes vonatkozások miatt lett 10 perccel megrövidítve. Remélem ezek a képsorok is sokakban nosztalgiát idéznek fel.
