Naschmarkt Wien - Daily Market Vienna - Österreich / Austria
A new Naschmarkt Wien - Daily Market Vienna - Österreich / Austria video
The Naschmarkt is Vienna's most popular market. Located at the Wienzeile over the Wien River, it is about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) long.
The Naschmarkt around 1900
The Naschmarkt has existed since the 16th century when mainly milk bottles were sold (as milk bottles were made out of ash (wood from an ash tree), Asch (German for ash) led to the name Aschenmarkt). From 1793 onwards, all fruits and vegetables brought to Vienna with carts had to be sold there, while goods arriving on the Danube were sold elsewhere. Nowadays, one can buy fresh fruit and vegetables from around the world, exotic herbs, cheese, baked goods such as bread, kaiser rolls, and torte, meats, and seafood. There are also many small restaurants which offer e.g. sushi, kebab, seafood, traditional Viennese food such as Kaiserschmarrn or Palatschinken (compares to rolled up crepes) and stalls which offer clothes and accessories. Since 1977, the market extends further along the Wienzeile to an adjacent area every Saturday, when a flea market takes place there.
The atmosphere of the Naschmarkt is famous far beyond the borders of Vienna, and large numbers of tourists visit the market every year.

Vienna is the federal capital, largest city and one of nine states of Austria. Vienna is Austria's primate city, with a population of about 1.9 million (2.6 million within the metropolitan area, nearly one third of the country's population), and its cultural, economic, and political centre. It is the 7th-largest city by population within city limits in the European Union. Until the beginning of the 20th century, it was the largest German-speaking city in the world, and before the splitting of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in World War I, the city had 2 million inhabitants. Today it is the second largest German-speaking city after Berlin and just before Hamburg. Vienna is host to many major international organizations, including the United Nations and OPEC. The city is located in the eastern part of Austria and is close to the borders of Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary. These regions work together in a European Centrope border region. Along with nearby Bratislava, Vienna forms a metropolitan region with 3 million inhabitants. In 2001, the city centre was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In July 2017 it was moved to the list of World Heritage in Danger.
Apart from being regarded as the City of Music because of its musical legacy, Vienna is also said to be The City of Dreams because it was home to the world's first psychoanalyst – Sigmund Freud. The city's roots lie in early Celtic and Roman settlements that transformed into a Medieval and Baroque city, and then the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It is well known for having played an essential role as a leading European music centre, from the great age of Viennese Classicism through the early part of the 20th century. The historic centre of Vienna is rich in architectural ensembles, including Baroque castles and gardens, and the late-19th-century Ringstraße lined with grand buildings, monuments and parks.
Vienna is known for its high quality of life. In a 2005 study of 127 world cities, the Economist Intelligence Unit ranked the city first (in a tie with Vancouver and San Francisco) for the world's most liveable cities. Between 2011 and 2015, Vienna was ranked second, behind Melbourne. In 2018, it replaced Melbourne as the number one spot.[25] For ten consecutive years (2009–2019), the human-resource-consulting firm Mercer ranked Vienna first in its annual Quality of Living survey of hundreds of cities around the world. Monocle's 2015 Quality of Life Survey ranked Vienna second on a list of the top 25 cities in the world to make a base within.
The UN-Habitat classified Vienna as the most prosperous city in the world in 2012/2013. The city was ranked 1st globally for its culture of innovation in 2007 and 2008, and sixth globally (out of 256 cities) in the 2014 Innovation Cities Index, which analyzed 162 indicators in covering three areas: culture, infrastructure, and markets. Vienna regularly hosts urban planning conferences and is often used as a case study by urban planners.
Between 2005 and 2010, Vienna was the world's number-one destination for international congresses and conventions. It attracts over 6.8 million tourists a year.

Flea Market at Naschmarkt Vienna, Austria????????
The flea market at Vienna's Naschmarkt is already an institution. About 400 sellers present their goods here every Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Private individuals are just as likely to have a market stall here as professional dealers of old items. The offering is correspondingly wide. In addition to high-value antiques, there are also lots curious, kitsch and humorous items to be found here. A must for bargain-hunters and flea market specialists. ..

Delicious Food at Naschmarkt, Donau Insel & Prater - Austria ep 6: | Travel Vlog
Subscribe to my channel:
We had a change of plans in Vienna, Dad got sick and wanted to go home, so I was of to explore on my own. I don't mind traveling alone, but I was expecting to share the experience with my dad so of course I was disappointed, but I made the best of it and saw a bunch of things:)
The Vienna Secession Building or The Secession which Gustav Klimt helped design and is like nothing I've ever seen before.. very cool.
Naschmarkt is an open street market with fresh produce and ready to eat food, it was a lot hight quality than I expected.. but then again it is Vienna:)
I explores the Donau Tower with Mel and her friend Patricia (who didn't want to be filmed, I respect that). We had a bit of trouble finding it, but made it to the top and had a good cake and drink at the Donau Turm Restaurent which spins around and lets you enjoy the view over the city.
Donau Insel is really cool, and the perfect place to cool off, it was SO hot that day.
Checked out the Vienna Prater an old amusement park, very cool, and ended the day with a visit to the mumok museum and live music in the museum quarter.
A different day than I was expecting but really good:)

Vienna In Your Pocket - Naschmarkt
Vienna In Your Pocket's Stefan Bauer strolls through Naschmarkt, the city's main food market.
Derived from the German verb naschen, meaning to nibble, Vienna's largest open-air market truly earns its moniker. The colourful fruit and vegetable stalls are interspersed with gourmet cheese, meat and ethnic food vendors, all offering up samples of their products to passers-by. If you're looking for a shopping experience for all five senses, this one is a must. At the market's southwest end, Austria's largest Flohmarkt (Flea Market) sets up shops every Saturday morning, offering second-hand clothing, an array of unusual items, and antique treasures for expert bargain hunters who show up early.

Night and day at the Naschmarkt, Vienna
You can learn a lot about a city by the way that it shops – which is why I always head straight to the market, to get a feel for the place. At the Naschmarkt in Vienna, Austria, there's street food, gourmet stalls, hippy-dippy clothes and souvenirs by day, and a cool bar and restaurant scene by night. It's Vienna's greatest surprise – don't miss it!

Naschmarkt - Vienna
Whatever a local Viennese needs as ingredients to cook will be found at the Naschmarkt. This market has fruits, vegetables, meats, herbs, etc. from everywhere you can think of - in the best quality!
The goods are presented beautifully and in a mouthwatering way to the customers. You will hear every language that you can think of (stall owners are mainly from the Eastern countries) and the ambiance is bustling and bazar like.
