Isla Vieques 2012
We stayed at the stunning Hacienda Bellavista for an amazing 3 day weekend with wonderful friends. At night the free-range horses of Vieques come up the mountain and drink from the hillside pool. The horse are also all over just outside the W Resort grounds, at Sun Bay in the mornings and always roaming the roads, so be careful driving! Our best Vieques experience ever!

Mosquito Pier- Vieques, Puerto Rico
The last day on our summer 2018 trip to Vieques. We went to Mosquito Pier. Great snorkeling- would probably be great diving too. Saw cuddlefish, turtle, starfish, etc. There were some baitfish out further that were attracting birds and probably predatory fish as well, but we didn't see them under the water. There are no bathrooms and it's about a mile out on the pier, so plan accordingly.
This was the clearest water we found on our trip to Vieques, but at other times of the year other places may clear up.
Playa La Chiva on Vieques Island in Puerto Rico, Part of Caribbean Islands National Wildlife Refuge
Our first vacation without the kids. We went to the Puerto Rican Island of Vieques. This is from our scooter trip to La Chiva beach.

EXPLORE PUERTO RICO/ ALL DAY TOUR IN PARADISE
Ecoadventures Kayaks (787) 206-0290 offers a combo tour where you will meet 3 different places in Puerto Rico. We start in El Yunque national forest where you will meet 3 secret rivers and a hidden waterfall in Rio Grande. Then we will visit the Luquillo beach area where you will have lunch and enjoy the famous Luquillo kiosks. At the end of the day you will have a kayak excursion in the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo. It's like doing 3 tours in one day. If you like adventure this is your tour where you will be in rivers, jungles, beaches, mangrove forests and bioluminescent lagoons. As a guide I will show you our Taino roots and details of nature in the rainforest and our guides in kayaks will teach you why we have 3 of the 5 bioluminescence areas worldwide. Enjoy paradise!
Hidden Trail of Vieques!
If you're visiting Vieques, make sure you hike the Cayo at Sun Bay Beach! An easy 25 minute walk takes you up to the top of the island giving you breath taking views of the turquoise water contrasted with the sheer cliffs. Find interesting creatures like hermit crabs, island birds, and wild horses (don't worry, they're very docile). There is also huge amounts of beautiful corals and sea fans laying on the perimeter. It's totally free and very safe, (if you don't get too close to the edge of the cliff).

**Amazing but Short Trip to Vieques, Puerto Rico
Amazing but short trip to Vieques Puerto Rico, was planning on doing some fishing but Hurricane Dorian prevent that from happening and also made the trip short to make it back home to Florida and prepare for Dorian, which never made it, (which we Thank God).
The main trip was to continue working on the house getting it ready for Airbnb but also took some time off and enjoyed El Yunque with my son, did some shopping, and visited family.
Hopefully during my next trip in October there will be some fishing with my cousin, he plans on taking me to one of his favorite spots for some snapper and yellow tail.
Hope you enjoy the video, from the time I left Orlando until I arrived to Vieques.

Puerto Rico 2019
Took a long weekend vacation to the West Coast of Puerto Rico in May 2019... Flew into Aguadilla and then drove to the Cabo Rojo and Rincon. The weather was good and the sights were great. Still some hurricane damage on this part of the island, but all infrastructure seems to be stable. Drove inland to Utuado and enjoyed the mountains and the Tanama river adventure tour. Only negative of the trip was flying out of Aguadilla at 3am; it used to be really easy a couple of years ago... But I think they added too many flights for the skeleton crew working at that time; also TSA only had TWO agents working the security checkpoint so the lines were backed up outside of the building.
