In this video, we explore the magnificent sights and attractions in and around the mountain resort town of Sapa, in the northwestern region of Vietnam.
Sapa is surrounded by mountains, including the highest mountain in all of Indochina - Fansipan, at 3,143m above sea level. A cable car , which is the longest in the world now runs to the summit of the mountain.
The area is also attractive due to its cool climate, beautiful flower displays, spectacular waterfalls, interesting markets, tasty barbecued food and colourfully dressed ethnic minority people from surrounding villages, such as the Hmong, Dao and the Giay groups.
Is this place even real?! [Sapa, Vietnam]
Sapa Vietnam is a tiny little mountainous village in the very North of Vietnam, bordering China. It's far far away from the bustling city of the side of Vietnam that everyone knows. This place is absolutely incredible!

Here is our heartbreaking Sapa first impressions. Literally just walking though Sapa, Vietnam we were able to see incredible mountains, taste some delicious Vietnamese food like bun cha and pho bo, and go shopping in a Sapa market. Doing our own little Sapa tour was breathtaking and the best things to do in Sapa are quite easy to find. However, knowing what to do in Sapa, Vietnam was all overshadowed by this...
As always thank you so much for watching!

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

Trip to Sapa and Mt Fansipan - Vietnam
After a couple of days at the Topas Ecolodge we move to Sapa town staying at Cat Cat View Hotel. Wandered around Sapa to the local markets and took the train and cable car up to Mt Fansipan. The day was a white-out but still very beautiful in the mist. Thanks to the Spirit Sisters/Brother for joining our adventures.

I've traveled to Sapa numerous times, but I've never had the chance to really stay longer than two days or so. On this recent trip, I had four days to do and eat things I've never done or eaten before. The Love Waterfall was a great way to start a morning, not too far from Sapa. (It definitely helps if you rent a car and hire a driver) That waterfall was worth it. The new market, though, not as wonderful as the old market, still has some good noodle offers to try. The fruit vendors outside will surely satisfy your fruit cravings and on the weekend you can visit the Old Church. For dinner, I recommend trying the sturgeon fish - in various courses. I believed that dinner came out to be around 30 dollars or so. Don't quote me on that.

About Topas Ecolodge Sapa
Sapa has been becoming a major tourist destination of north Vietnam, a natural starting point for the unique experiences in the mountainous area, which includes the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, Indochina’s highest peak of Fansipan (3,143m) and 5 different hill-tribes, each one colourful, distinct, and with its own language and cultural values. Some of the villages, especially the more remote ones, are still largely untouched by modern ways of life.
The main attraction in Sapa is to visit the hill tribe’s villages. There are many unique opportunities to experience the hidden trails, breathtaking sceneries, unmixed culture and way of life…but without the availability of basic accommodation. You can either sleep in local houses, or in tents outside the villages. Here began our idea of building the Ecolodge. Topas Ecolodge is now the only one of its kind in Vietnam. It has a perfect location – situated atop two cone formed hills, set deep in the spectacular Sapa valley of northern Vietnam.
Topas Ecolodge is based on sustainable principles to ensure that the lodge has a minimum impact on the surrounding environment. We employ local people and use local products and goods, in order to bring economic benefits to the local community as well as we have implemented a wastewater facility to avoid pollution of the local area.
It all started around 1993 when Topas Travel from Denmark arranged tours to the area in corporation with a local Vietnamese family. Together we got the idea for Topas Ecolodge in 1999. After investigating the area and applying for permissions the building project was launched in June 2003.
The main idea when we first started to consider building the lodge was to create a comfortable base near the minority villages. We wanted to offer a comfortable stay for our guests in a remote area, close to the local life. We felt that a full-service five star hotel would not be the right fit. So we built a simple base that would have the least amount of impact on the natural surroundings. When we first built here there was no electricity, no mobile reception and no internet. Much has happened since.
Topas Ecolodge opened in April 2005.
We want to be sure that we have presented ourselves as accurately as possible before you visit us. Therefore, there are some things you should know; Topas Ecolodge is situated 18 km outside Sapa town and the bus ride is approximately 45 min. We call it an “adventurous bus ride” mainly because the road conditions are not too good, but also because you’ll meet many of the ethnic minorities of this area and probably a few buffalos.
We call ourselves a ‘lodge’ because we are not an ordinary hotel. Our bungalows have no TV or other entertainment and we have no swimming pool but a wooden bathtub but a newly opened spa specializing in the traditional Red Dao herbal bath.
Our employees are very friendly, young people from the local minority tribes and not all are equally proficient in English.
We often experience break down of the power supply and during the rice planting season we struggle with the lack of water.
Sometimes the weather is clear and sometimes it’s cloudy – and it can be even muddy.
However, we have a very unusual location with a spectacular view and lots of unique trekking and mountain biking trails in our backyard. We invite people out here to experience Vietnam in a different way and to escape the busy city life for a true and quiet mountain getaway.

Sa Pa is a town in the Hoàng Liên Son Mountains of northwestern Vietnam. A popular trekking base, it overlooks the terraced rice fields of the Muong Hoa Valley, and is near the 3,143m-tall Phang Xi Pang peak, which is climbable via a steep, multiday guided walk. Hill tribes, such as the Hmong, Tay and Dao, make up much of the town's local population.

Hello lovelies!~ ◟(◔ั₀◔ั )◞ ༘♡
I know it’s already February, but January was such a busy month for me! I have two videos on what I did in January coming up soon!
But for now, here's is the third part to my travel diaries in Vietnam!
After relaxing on the beaches of Nha Trang, we traveled 6 hours north of Hanoi to Sapa! Sapa is an enchanting alpine town that lies on top of a mountain. In the month of December, the temperature drops and the mist/fog roll in intensely throughout the day making it seem as though we’re trekking above the clouds.
