Description
Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk
The Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk is a new development in High St., Seymour, in the State of Victoria, Australia and commemorates the 60,000+ service personnel and the 11 tracker dogs who served during the 14 years of the Vietnam War. The Walk incorporates a meandering red earth path set in native trees and grasses that resemble rubber trees and rice paddies. These two plants being synonymous to Vietnam. Along the length of the Walk are walls with the names of all the Australian personnel who served in Vietnam. Contemplation areas are incorporated into the Walk as a place for people to sit and reflect on the sacrifices of those that went before us serving our country.
Music: I Am Australian is performed by the Royal Australian Navy band.

In 2000, Australian Vietnam veteran Don Tate was responsible for the construction of a Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk around a sporting field at Albion Park Rail in honour of all veterans. He personally planted 190 of 230 trees. In 2008, a plaque was placed at a sandstone rock at the site to record the actions of Cpl James Bertram Riddle who commanded the 2nd D&E Platoon in Vietnam during May/June 1969 as part of a combined infantry/armour force under the command of Captain Tom Arrowsmith MG. Following contentions that occurred in the field on May 30th 1969, the 2nd D&E Platoon was erased from the history books for almost four decades. On May 29th 2008, tthe Hon Mike Kelly MP on behalf of the Australian Government finally and formally acknowledged its existence and operations. The Australian War Memorial steadfastly refuses to accept that decision.
The Vietnam Veterans Wall Seymour Victoria~Updated
Vietnam Veterans Memorial Walk and Memorial Wall at Seymour in Victoria is an edifice Dedicatede to those who served in most probably the most devisive war the Australian people and military have been involved in. At last after many years of critical comment about our Vietnam Veterans, in the twilight years of most ; a recognition that will stand and a thank you that means something without political platitudes.

I was only 19- Battle of Long Tan Vietnam Veterans Concert 2006
Trevor Dunen sings a tribute to Gary (Polly) Polglase from the Tracker dog unit in Vietnam- a cover of Redgum's I was only 19 at the Vietnam Veterans, Battle of Long Tan, 40th Anniversary Celebration at the Royal Perth Yacht Club, with the Knight Club Quartet and Peter Harries, on 20th August 2006. Garry Polly Polglase was not my uncle. We called Horry and Gary Polglase uncle Gary/Horry, as my parents insisted out of respect. That was how it was in the sixties. Polly's parents, Horry and Pat were good friends with my grandparents Dick and Norma Stewart from Bacchus Marsh. I have photos of myself with Gary Polglase when I was a six year old boy and he was in uniform preparing to got to Vietnam, he was accidently killed there in April, 1968, may he rest in peace. He had the dog Julian and was in Sp Coy 3RAR. The Tracker Dog Unit. His Mum used to take me to St. Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne to pray for Gary. I was always told to call him Uncle Gary, this is my tribute to him and his family.

1st ride with the Sena Prism camera linked to my Sena SMH10 intercom and very impressed. Have to fine tune mic settings on camera but otherwise pretty happy with the quality.
