MOSCOW CITY CENTRE TOUR. PART 1 /// RUSSIA TRAVEL VIDEO /// VLOG #28
There are lots to see in the city centre of Moscow, so we decided to start our series of Russia travel videos by showing you around the most historical part of this beautiful tourist destination. All the spots we show in this travel vlog are on the list of must-see places in Moscow. Some of them are well-known like the Red Square and St. Basil's Cathedral. Some of them are newer (the Monument to Vladimir The Great) or off the beaten path (Perlov Tea House). But all of them are awesome to explore if you're in Moscow, Russia.
We also show you a couple of large department stores located in the city centre of Moscow. The most popular is, of course, GUM also known as the State Department Store. Placed right across the Kremlin, this store is always packed with people. Recently rebuilt Kids Department Store (also known as Central Kids Store) can offer not only shopping and great food, but also a beautiful rooftop lookout with breathtaking views of Moscow City Centre.
If you're looking for a list of things to do in Moscow, this travel vlog is for you! We also have more videos about Moscow including popular video on where to try traditional Russian food. Check them out:

Altai, where might makes right - From Moscow to Magadan
In this episode, we visit the Altai Mountains. The Altai mountains are a located in Central and East Asia, and are shared by Russia, China, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. In the remote village of Korgon there is a lot of space waste that fell from the sky. Sometimes even on houses. The residents are left behind and the authorities refuse to hear anything about it, despite their responsibilities towards the citizens. In addition, Jelle visits a shaman who has to help him out of his cold feet in a traditional way.
Original title: Van Moskou tot Magadan - Altai, het recht van de sterkste
What's left of communism? How big are the differences between the poor and the rich? What is the influence of corruption? Is Russia a young democracy (as former Dutch prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende previously said)? Is it a sovereign democracy (according to Putin) or a fascist regime (as read in The Economist)? Jelle Brandt Corstius is looking for the topics that rule the life of ordinary Russians in Russia.

War comes alive in shots of fearless Soviet photographer
Intro
Soviet war photographer Yevgeny Khaldey travelled to Berlin with the Soviet army at the end of World War II.
He captured the grief and sorrow of war victims, but also the joy of Soviet soldiers, liberating Berlin in 1945.
Khaldey died in 1997, but his images are on display in museums throughout Russia and abroad, thanks to the efforts of his daughter.

7. SOUNDBITE Anna Khaldey, daughter of the photographer, speaking Russian: This is June 21 of 1941. My father was assigned to film a literary club. When he arrived at the scene he saw joyous pioneers, small kids. Around them was beautiful quiet scenery - the lake and the church. But he still had an uneasy feeling that something was about to happen. This is the photo he made. The next morning Stalin announced the news of war.
8. Various of Anna Khaldey at the site where one of the shots was taken [2.18-2.33]
Story
Yevgeny Khaldey was with the Red Army for all 1418 days of the war. He didn't get a single injury, but he would click away his weapon's contents completely, day after day, city after city. He became famous after a series of photos of Stalin and the Nuremberg trials, but most importantly - of the war itself. Anna Khaldey is the daughter of legendary photographer and the only keeper of his priceless photographic legacy.
He was often asked - did you have a gun?, she says, showing her father's camera. -- Did you kill Nazis? And he would say - of course, I had a gun and he would take out this - his most ruthless gun.
It was his shot on the second of May 1945, which became an image to go down in history as the symbol of the Soviet victory in WW2.
It shows Soviet soldiers on the roof of the Reichstag with a red Soviet flag. Khaldey was a true romantic. Those days there were no Soviet flags in Berlin. Soldiers used red Nazi flags and replaced swastika with sickle and hammer. But Khaldey wanted no fakes, so he brought the flag all the way from Moscow to Berlin. He wrapped it up around himself to make sure it looked like new. He handed it over to soldiers last minute when he reached Reichstag.
Khaldey was often criticized for staging his shoots. But the photographer argued he captured only real people and their real dramas.
The history of his family was also marked with a color of grief. Lot of Khaldey's relatives were killed by the Nazis - for being Jewish. They lived in Ukraine in the 1930-s, before WW2 began. Anna tells the story of one more photorgapher's symbolic work.
This is June 21 of 1941.
Khaldey died in Moscow in 1997. On May the 9th, most of the photographer's works are be spread out in museums across the world. Some of the snapshots are so famed and recognizable - that no signature is needed to identify the genius who created them.

Russia - French daredevil performs stunt
T/I 10:11:37
A French daredevil attempted to enter the Guinness Book of World Records on Saturday (5/10) by balancing on two chairs high above Red Square.
Henrys Rechatin, a 65-year old, has already featured in the Guinness Book of World Records on numerous occasions for balancing acts on tightropes.
Saturday's stunt was timed to coincide with the opening of an international circus festival in Red Square. Rechatin completed the balancing act twice on the edge of the roof of the Hotel Rossiya, near Red Square. Rechatin rested the legs of the bottom chair on drinking glasses, then balanced in a second chair on top of the first one.

Operation InfeKtion: How Russia Perfected the Art of War | NYT Opinion
Russia’s meddling in the United States’ elections is not a hoax. It’s the culmination of Moscow’s decades-long campaign to tear the West apart. “Operation InfeKtion” reveals the ways in which one of the Soviets’ central tactics — the promulgation of lies about America — continues today, from Pizzagate to George Soros conspiracies. Meet the KGB spies who conceived this virus and the American truth squads who tried — and are still trying — to fight it. Countries from Pakistan to Brazil are now debating reality, and in Vladimir Putin’s greatest triumph, Americans are using Russia’s playbook against one another without the faintest clue.

Колыма - родина нашего страха / Kolyma - Birthplace of Our Fear

CODY SNODGRES RE BLACK OPS WITH OLE DAMMEGARD
An interview with Black Ops Whistleblower, Cody Snodgres with investigator/author Ole Dammegard Wednesday, December 6th @ 1pm PT.
From Ole Dammegard: …”
Dear Kerry,
…”After 22 years of silence, my friend and former independent Black Ops Contractor Cody Snodgres, has decided to step forward as a whistleblower. In 1994 he was offered 1 000 000 USD by the CIA to bomb the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City. When he turned it down, he went from being an asset to a liability and the agency then tried to kill him on several occasions. Two times he died, but hospital staff managed to bring him back to life. This will also cover Cody’s experience with black ops and money laundered through the Clinton and Bush crime families.”–paraphrased message from Ole Dammegard

Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 22, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
After a debate on the rules of the trial, opening arguments start Jan. 22 in the Senate. After opening arguments, senators will have 16 hours to ask questions in writing. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. will read the questions out loud, and the appropriate side — defense or prosecution — can answer them.
President Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.
