Il concorso consisteva nella creazione di un filmato nel quale ci sarebbe stata la villa come protagonista.
Il video doveva essere girato esclusivamente con lo Smartphone (Samsung Note 4 in questo caso). In fine il video è stato montato con un programma di montaggio base.

Villa Emo - Villa Palladiana a Vedelago (Treviso) - Discover Italy
Villa Emo is one of the many Palladian creations conceived by the great architect Andrea Palladio. It is a patrician villa located in the Veneto region of northern Italy, near the village of Fanzolo di Vedelago and the Province of Treviso. The patron of this villa was Leonardo Emo and remained in the hands of the Emo family until it was sold in 2004. Since 1996, it has been conserved as part of the World Heritage Site City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto
Andrea Palladio's architectural fame is considered to have come from the many villas he designed. The building of Villa Emo was the culmination of a long-lasting project of the patrician Emo family of the Republic of Venice to develop its estates at Fanzolo. In 1509, which saw the defeat of Venice in the War of the League of Cambrai, the estate on which the villa was to be built was bought from the Barbarigo family.
Leonardo di Giovannia Emo was a well-known Venetian aristocrat. He was born in 1538 and inherited the Fanzolo estate in 1549. This property was dedicated to the agricultural activities that the family prospered from. The Emo family's central interest was at first in the cultivation of their newly acquired land. Not until two generations had passed did Leonardo Emo commission Palladio to build a new villa in Fanzolo.
Historians unfortunately do not have firm chronology of dates on the design, construction, or the commencement of the new building: the years 1555 or 1558 is estimated to have been when the building was designed, while the construction was thought to have been undertaken between 1558 and 1561. There is no evidence showing that the villa was built by 1549: however, it has been documented to have been built by 1561. The 1560s saw the interior decoration added and the consecration of the chapel in the west barchesse in 1567.[1] The date of completion is put at 1565; a document which attests to the marriage of Leonardo di Alvise with Cornelia Grimani has lasted from that year.[3] Partial alterations were made to the Villa Emo in 1744 by Francesco Muttoni. Arches within both wings that were close to the central build were sealed off and additional residential areas were created. The ceilings were altered in 1937-1940. The villa and its surrounding estate were purchased in 2004 by an institution and further restorations were made. Since 1996, it has been conserved as part of the World Heritage Site City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto.
The villa is at the center of an extensive area that bears centuriation, or land divisions, and extends northward. The landscape of Fanzolo has a continuous history since Roman times and it has been suggested that the layout of the villa reflects the straight lines of the Roman roads.

L'opera, costruita probabilmente a partire dal 1558, fu commissionata dalla famiglia Emo di Venezia, famiglia di cui è rimasta nelle disponibilità fino al 2004.È una delle più compiute ville palladiane, costruita quando Palladio realizzava edifici simili già da vent'anni. Nella progettazione della villa sono state utilizzate le stesse proporzioni matematiche, sia in elevazione che nelle dimensioni delle stanze, impiegate da Palladio per il resto della sua opera. Dal 1996 è stata inserita dall'UNESCOnella lista dei patrimoni dell'umanità, assieme alle altre ville palladiane del Veneto e a Vicenza città del Palladio.La villa è incorniciata da due lunghe barchesse colonnate che ospitavano originariamente le strutture per le attività agricole. L'ingresso si trova al termine di un lungo percorso lastricato di grandi pietre squadrate.Gli esterni sono essenziali, privi di decorazioni, mentre gli interni sono riccamente decorati con affreschi di Giovanni Battista Zelotti, autore di opere analoghe in altre ville palladiane.

Villa Emo has got a wonderful park, with lots of artistic shaped hedges, that's the art of topiary! It seems that the Emo family was among the first to introduce maize to this place, so they invented the local typical dish called Polenta!

L'attività principale dell'azienda agricola Conte Umberto Emo Capodilista La Montecchia è la viticoltura, iniziata già nel Medioevo. Nei 45 ettari l'uva a bacca rossa fa da padrona. Da non perdere il Moscato Fior d'Arancio passito: ottimo come vino da dessert è venduto in bottiglie da mezzo litro.

Gli interni padronali sono completamente e splendidamente affrescati da Giovan Battista Zelotti (allievo del Veronese). Circondata da un bel parco e da un borgo che originariamente era abitato dai contadini che lavoravano i terreni della nobile famiglia veneziana degli Emo che l'hanno detenuta fino al 2004 cedendola al Credito Trevigiano.

The principles which informed Leonardo Emo's project in Fanzolo found clear expression in his architect's design: an extremely simple ground plan based on parallel fundamental axes, a language pared to its essence with no concessions to extra architectural elements, reveal the force of its creator's ideas and the purity of its composition. In the plan of Villa Emo the architect achieves perfect harmony between the architectural form, the functions to which it is linked, and the surrounding landscape. Inspired by the symmetry of Roman buildings, Villa Emo is the geometric epitome of t he spatial structures present in all Palladio's villas, becoming, through the simplicity of its style and plan, emblematic of the canons which characterise the Palladian opus. In this innovative project the barchesse (wings), continuations of the central dwelling-house, do not enclose an outside space but are anchored to the ground, and follow the lines dictated by the landscape, in which the old Roman grid can still be recognised. At Villa Emo simplicity and a certain severity prevail, qualities emphasised by the almost total alignment of the barchesse with the main façade, where the portico and fronton recess into the body of the villa, and confirmed by the austere dovecotes, set slightly back, which in no way reflect the elaborate architectural choices present in the façade of the villa at Maser. The balance and harmony of the architectural composition arise from the rhythmic succession of volumes, heights and spaces, coordinated but separate in the sequence of villa - barchesse - dovecotes.
The frescoed decoration of the villa's interior, carried out by Giovanni Battista Zelotti (1526-1578), once again underlines the owner's concepts by depicting, with scenes dedicated to mythology, agricultural life, family and domestic virtues, the common goal of landlord and peasant to improve the yield of the land. This dwelling on mythological themes linked to agrarian allegories alluding to the fertility of the fields, has also been interpreted as a moral imperative, pointing the way to the abandonment of decadent aristocratic eroticism in favour of the labour and commitment which characterise rural life. The scenes are framed by trompe l'oeil architectural elements, typical of frescoes in Veneto villas of the sixteenth century.

Villa Emo a Vedelago, in provincia di Treviso, è stata realizzata dall'architetto Andrea Palladio. L'opera, costruita probabilmente a partire dal 1558, fu commissionata dalla famiglia Emo di Venezia, famiglia di cui è rimasta nelle disponibilità fino al 2004.
Dal 1996 è stata inserita dall'UNESCO nella lista dei patrimoni dell'umanità, assieme alle altre ville palladiane del Veneto e a Vicenza città del Palladio.
