Today we are joining Sounds Connection for a Marlborough Wine Tour. The Marlborough Wine Tour starts from Picton, when we are picked up right outside our accommodation, then we hit the road with our Sounds Connection tour guide to the Marlborough winemaking region.
We stop at four different wineries on this Marlborough Winery Tour to taste an variety of wines from pinot gris to Riesling to sauvignon blanc. There’s something for everyone on this Marlborough Wine Tour from Picton.
In total, we try over 22 different tastings of Marlborough wine on this Marlborough winery tour where we go from Marlborough winery to winery, Marlborough vineyard to vineyard. We have tastings in each Marlborough winery’s cellar door where we learn more about the Marlborough wine region and the winemaking process.
Finally, after visiting four Marlborough wineries we arrive at Makana confections chocolate factory for some chocolate samples.

Days 19 & 20: Marlborough Wine Country! New Zealand's most famous wine region by drone!
Today, I visited the home of my favourite wine - New Zealand's Marlborough wine region on the South Island. In addition to the beautiful wines (especially its distinct passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc), the scenery is truly spectacular - the valley is surrounded by mountains and there are endless symmetrical rows of vines.
I stayed in an Airbnb in Blenheim (the centre of the region) and visited Brancott Estate, Highfield Terravin, and Rock Ferry. I was told to visit Cloudy Bay but didn't have time.

DELEGAT'S WINE ESTATE MARLBOROUGH WINERY - 196 Tonne
HML Engineering has completed the drafting, fabrication, erection & installation of all the structural steel for the Delegat's Wine Estate's 5000m2 expansion.
The project included, pipe racks, lights supports & gates of the building structure which was part of their 10-year plan. It is the largest winery in New Zealand to house all its tanks under one roof & process up to 2000 tonnes per day of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir grapes.

Some of the best vineyards are here such as Villa Maria, Wither Hills, Stoneleighs, Hunters, Allan Scott, Moa beer and many many more. We also checked out Makana Chocolate factory and saw some of the best chocolate in the country being made.
