Cala Fornells Beach, Calvia
Something for everyone, with both sand, rocks & a manmade platform of sun beds & parasols.
Cala Fornells stretches about 80 metres wide and 4 metres deep. The water is clear and it's worth taking your snorkel as there are plenty of fish.
Overhanging pine trees offer areas of natural shade and add to the overall charm of the cove. Cala Fornells is used by both residents and tourists. It can get busy but it has a good atmosphere and being in a semi-urban area means there's enough to do to make a whole day of it - or indeed a whole holiday.
The beach doesn't have a life guard, toilet or showers and there is no wheelchair access.

The capital of the island, Palma, is also the capital of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. The Balearic Islands have been an autonomous region of Spain since 1983. The Cabrera Archipelago is administratively grouped with Majorca (in the municipality of Palma). The anthem of Majorca is La Balanguera.
Like the other Balearic Islands of Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera, the island is an extremely popular holiday destination, particularly for tourists from Germany and the United Kingdom. The international airport, Palma de Mallorca Airport, is one of the busiest in Spain; it was used by 23.1 million passengers in 2014.
