The Vinkeveense Plassen is a nature and water sports area in the northwest of the Dutch province of Utrecht, northeast of the village of Vinkeveen. Other neighboring places are Baambrugge, Loenersloot, Waver, and Abcoude. Along the water is the A2 motorway (National highway 2 (A2 / N2) is a national highway and motorway in the Netherlands) and the N201 (The provincial road 201 is a provincial road in the provinces of Noord-Holland and Utrecht and has a length of more than 56 kilometers) runs through the puddles.
Thanks to its central location in the Randstad, the Vinkeveense Plassen is a popular water sports area. There are many recreational facilities along and on the water; This way you can swim, sail, dive and water ski. There are several marinas on Vinkeveense Plassen with moorings, water and power supplies, showers and restaurants.
The Vinkeveense Plassen are connected to the river Amstel. They were created from the Golden Age on the extraction of peat for Amsterdam. The current elongated islands are layers of land, they used to be used as drying fields for the still wet peat. After the peat was dredged remained peat lakes behind, formed by the draw holes that were growing by the exit from the banks. Much later, the underlying sand layer was dredged here and there. This sand was used in the construction of the A2 and Southeast Amsterdam. As a result, the ponds reach a depth of 50 meters unprecedented in the Netherlands.
The area is managed by the Recreatieschap Vinkeveense Plassen and the municipalities of De Ronde Venen and Amsterdam. However, since Amsterdam decided in 2011 to withdraw from the partnership, the operation has become uncertain. At the start of 2014, the plan was launched to transfer the management to the Stichtse Groenlanden Recreation Board. Components of this plan are the sale of a number of islands to private individuals and an investment in the maintenance of millions of islands.

Wie kent ze niet; de prachtige onderwaterbeelden van o.a. Danny Fairbrass waarin hij ons een sneak preview geeft van de wonderlijke onderwaterwereld. Na enkele weken voorpret en spanning was het voor mij dan eindelijk ook zover. Vissen en filmen op de Vinkeveense plassen met Freek Stevens van Flexible-Carpfishing. De nadruk zou liggen op het filmen, en dan met name onderwater.

De Vinkeveense Plassen
De Vinkeveense Plassen een Nederlands water van maar liefst 1000 hectare groot! Het water is kristal helder waardoor het ook erg geliefd is bij duikers! Het zich gemiddeld rond de 10 meter. Niet alleen is De Vinkeveense Plassen geliefd bij duikers maar ook bij vissers! Daarom bied De Vissende Hollander een legio aan verschillende mogelijkheden aan om dit water te kunnen bevissen! Op dit filmpje zie je een groot deel aan mogelijkheden om te vissen op karper! Maar ook is het mogelijk om brasem, witvis, snoek, snoekbaars!

Omringd door de Vinkeveense plassen ligt deze vrijstaande villa met privé eilandjes, boothuis en terrassen met prachtig uitzicht.
De Vissende Hollander Vinkeveense Plassen Eiland stekken
De Vinkeveense plassen met het immense kraak heldere water en schitterende karpers in ons kikkerlandje. 1000 Hectare water met eilanden, bruggetjes en havens. Ondiepe delen en zelfs hele diepe delen. Ruim bezaaid met mosseltjes en hier en daar ook begroeiing. Rietkragen en stenen kanten. Voor elk wat wils met een prachtig natuurlijk bestand aan karpers. Prachtige oude strijders. Zowel schub als ook spiegels.
Wie droomt er nu niet van om hier een karper te vangen. En wat voor karpers zijn er mogelijk? Geregeld worden er vissen geland over de 20 kg met behulp van onze visgids Freek Stevens eigenaar van Flexible Carp Fishing en Flexible Fishing Products. Ook is hij fanatiek duiker en mag graag met de onderwatercamera aan de slag om de wonderbaarlijke karpers hun gang te zien gaan. In en rondom de Vinkeveense plassen eiland. Veel van zijn werk vind u dan ook op Youtube Flexible Carp Fishing.
Op de Vinkeveense Plassen hebben wij van De Vissende Hollander samen met Freek van Flexible Carp Fishing een paar eilanden uitgezocht.
Elk eiland biedt u verschillende mogelijkheden om schitterende zware karpers te vangen.
Een eiland op het Weid, een eiland tussen andere eilanden in waar de vissen doorheen zwemmen en een eiland met accommodatie/caravan waar u een beetje van beide kunt proberen.
De eilanden worden kaal verhuurd, echter is alles mogelijk en tegen een meerprijs (zie hieronder) extra bij te boeken!
Als u gebruik wilt maken van een rubberboot is deze ook huren met motor en extra benzine, zodat u uw lijnen goed kunt uitvaren.
Als u het liefste heeft dat de tent voor u klaar staat wanneer u arriveert is dit ook mogelijk!
