Educational Games - Malawi Trip - 2016 (On Eagles' Wings Ministry)
eaglesmission.com
The Lord has blessed us with great success using our program of Educational Games with the beloved people of Malawi, Lilongwe. Each game has one or more objectives. In this video clip you will find out how we taught the children about leadership, counting numbers and sharing.
Our Vision
That the Gospel of Jesus Christ & His acts of mercy spread all over the Sub Saharan Africa in order to fulfill the Great Commission of Mark 16:15:
‘’Go into the entire world and preach the Gospel to all creation.”
Our Mission
We believe that we can achieve Christs’ Gospel of love and mercy through:
* Evangelism training schools for church leaders.
* Ministry of charity for widows and orphans affected by HIV/Aids disease.
* Reaching out to the victims of lasting droughts and floods in order to supply them with food, clothing and shelter.
* Implementing strong and deep Biblical Foundation through teaching as well as providing copies of the Holy Bible.
Serve the City 2013
At Downtown Cornerstone Church we are committed to building a great city, not just a great church. Our desire is to see gospel renewal take place from the avenues to the alleyways. On July 20th over 100 people from DCC partnered with Dunlap Elementary School in Rainier Valley to help with some much needed maintenance.
Dunlap is located in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country, and over 85% of the students receive free or subsidized lunches. As a church, we believe that we have been infinitely loved and served by God through the person and work of Jesus, so we serve as we've been served in Christ.
Thank you to everyone who came out to Serve the City this year! Check out the video and photos from the event below and be sure to join us next time we gather as a family to serve the city, loving it to life.
BUT SEEK THE WELFARE OF THE CITY WHERE I HAVE SENT YOU INTO EXILE, AND PRAY TO THE LORD ON ITS BEHALF, FOR IN ITS WELFARE YOU WILL FIND YOUR WELFARE.(JEREMIAH 29:7

Inside Kalipeni's Trip to Malawi for Water
The Kalipeni Foundation:
In July/August 2019, Jacqueline's The Kalipeni Foundation visited Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world. The Kalipeni Foundation has partnered with community leaders to advocate for strong water systems.
Water (madzi) Water is essential to the human body as 60% of the human body is made up of water. It is common knowledge that clean water is vital for a healthy population. What can we do to improve those that don’t have direct access to water?
Education (maphunziro) How do you change a generation? How do you break generational curses? How do you enhance the future?
Safety (chitetezo) Bringing safety to those that are in need of it is possible, there is always a way of bringing people in a safe environment.
Family (banja) Here at The Kalipeni Foundation, we believe we are all family, and family sticks together.
In 1988 Dr. Ezekiel and Mrs. Fattima Kalipeni left Malawi and moved to the United States in hopes for a better future for themselves and their children. This choice became too heavy on their spirits as they knew that there were others that had not been as fortunate.
For thirty years Dr. Kalipeni and his wife made it their life’s mission to help those that they had left behind. They managed to help families send their children to school, build houses that they could call their own, and assisted in creating businesses to build familial economic legacies. Financial assistance was also given to those who had the unfortunate task of burying loved ones. During times of famine and irrigation loss, the Kalipeni’s continued to be a resource to many individuals.
Their vision was simple. They desired to bless others with that which was blessed to them. Dr. and Mrs. Kalipeni believed that through their sacrifice, others would be able to have a more abundant life.
We continue this vision through The Kalipeni Foundation, in which we believe as a unit, as a family, as Americans, and as Malawian’s we can help those that we left behind. One mans sacrifice will be the blessings for many. (Kalipeni, 2019)

Meet Ann, a youth activist from Kenya working on sexual and reproductive rights
During my trip to Kenya, I met Ann through a colleague Judy who works for Y-PEER. Although I didn't get a chance to see Judy, she insisted that I meet and Ann, and heck yeah she was right! Ann does amazing advocacy work on issues like comprehensive sex education in Kenya's schools. I was so pleased to learn that this exciting work is happening and I am looking forward to sharing our ideas, our vision and our hope for Africa!
