SR1234 – UN & Obama Floods Fargo With Refugees. City Fights Back
Visit our website now: - considered by informed insiders’ as THE ultimate resource for fixing the National Debt problem and surviving Economic or Financial Collapse/Crash and attaining the unvarnished truth about Washington and today’s United States Political Climate.
Good evening, I’m still reporting on
SR1234 – UN & Obama Floods Fargo With Refugees. City Fights Back
WND ran a great piece on Fargo, North Dakota a town of 118,000 people who have been forced by the federal government over the last 14 years to accept 4,103 refugees from Africa and the Middle East.
It turns out that the Somali refugee who stabbed 10 shoppers on Sept. 18th in a mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota – a 2-hour drive – was originally settled in Fargo.
ISIS later claimed that the perpetrator, was a “soldier of the Islamic State.”
Fargo is now evaluating what the cost has been to their community for this social experiment via immigration.
According to Dave Piepkorn, a Fargo City Commissioner:
“On a per capita basis, North Dakota leads the nation in refugees, and 80 percent or more get sent to the Fargo area.”
He said that Fargo has no say over how many refugees get sent in. The State Department and Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota, which makes a handsome profit for each refugee resettled, make all those decisions.
But the costs to Fargo have been huge, but only now is the city attempting to calculate it with the idea of perhaps suing the federal government for the costs.
Piepkorn says he expects the amount to run into the millions of dollars:
“We have 40 different types of language interpreters in our schools. I know the city and county are involved in housing, transportation and health care. It’s a huge amount of money.”
Last November, Superintendent of schools Dr. Jeff Schatz said just the cost of English language classes cost his system $2.8 dollars.
But there may be other costs – not just monetary. In May, the NBC TV affiliate in Fargo, ran a story that four active cases of tuberculosis have been identified among the migrants – the first cases of TB in Fargo in 20 years.
Lutheran Social Services denied the story initially, but it has been proven to be true.
Fargo is just one of 300 American towns selected by the United Nations to take in refugees.
I’m still reporting from Washington. Good Day.

Fargo North Dakota Flooding 2009
DEVELOPING STORY: North Dakota is bracing for record floods, and YouNews Citizen Journalists are already filing reports from the field.
North Dakota has been declared a federal disaster zone as the rising Red River continues to cause statewide flooding.
The river has been swollen by heavier-than-average snowfall and an early freeze that locked moisture into the soil.
Fargo residents are rushing to build dikes ahead of the river's predicted cresting on Friday.
Hundreds of people are racing to fill the estimated two million sandbags needed to shield the community from the rising water.
Residents fear the flooding may prove to be as disastrous as in 1997, when tens of thousands of people were forced to flee their homes.
