Built in 1952, the stadium has seen a major revamp before it could accommodate the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It hosted the surprise of the Confederations Cup when the United States beat Spain in the semi-final before a capacity crowd.

Bloem Skou / Bloemshow
Annual Bloem show. Amusement park. An insight of what the entertainment offers at the annual Bloemfontein Show's amusement park...
Bloem Show is an exciting, annual event that takes place in venues around Bloemfontein, successfully combining agricultural, entertainment and trade activities all under a single roof.
The next edition runs from 27 April-7 May 2017. This years event theme is Colour Me Crazy
With over 100 000 visitors, 134 years of excellence, and more than 350 exhibitors, the Bloem Show is the Free State's largest annual event, with this year promising to be even greater than before! Attendees can expect a wide variety of entertainment and cultural activities - from stud breeding in agricultural championships and shearing demonstration to the largest collection of craft stalls in the country.
The Bloem Show is a 10-day jam packed, 'value-for-money' programme featuring various forms of entertainment for the whole family, with the highlight of the show being the national, regional and provincial agricultural championships of farm animals and livestock. From cattle to small stock and thoroughbred horses, these showcases are the largest in the country. For the kids, there is a 'Vodacom Kiddies Train' as well as a thrilling amusement park. If you're really looking to get into the farming spirit, take part in a shearing competition! Not only is it a lot of fun, but you'll be exposed to the internal workings of farm life.
In addition to the championships, the dairy section of the show attracts entries from across South Africa and from all national brands, where they compete with cow, goat and sheep milk products.
New to the show this year are a variety of outdoor exhibitions and a 4 x 4 track. These additions bring an exciting new atmosphere to the show experience.
The Bloem Show offers 10 days of good food, an ultimate value-for-money shopping experience and family fun in the sun.
Idols eat your heart!!
