There is a resident dugong that I missed. The night life drew some amazing marine life such as octopus, eels, lobsters, crabs, rays and large schools of fish swimming between you and the surface with an amazing full moon backdrop to really bring out the silhouettes.

Went to Vanuatu, and visited Tanna Island where an active Volcano lives.
Here are a series of videos of the Volcano, some are taken at night, and some are at day. The Volcano looks completely different in the light as opposed to the day.

Vanuatu vlog - (Port Vila, West and East Tanna, volcano Mt Yasur)
Hey! We've just finished our 8 days in Vanuatu and it was a seriously amazing experience. I've traveled a lot and I would rank it in my top 5 travel destinations. Watch the video to find out why.

Most of the places on Tanna aren't on booking.com or hostel world so use the lonely planet accommodation guide to find email addresses or phone numbers to contact them.
Booking.com is fine in Port Vila. We stayed at Paray Lodge for the cheaps but don't expect much English spoken there.
TANNA WARNING: fuel is expensive there and the roads are ALL DIRT ROADS (though they have started work building actual roads woohoo!) so taxis are expensive (5000 airport- port resolution) and it takes about 2 and a half hours to get from one side to the other. Volcano is on route as are Yasur view bungalows.

We had the amazing pleasure of staying at the most amazing, new, eco boutique resort on Tanna Island in Vanuatu. This was by far the best hotel/resort that we've ever stayed at!
An island that we'd never heard about until just before we started travelling, but a one that we were so glad to have visited.
Although work was still in progress, it was bliss. Peaceful, quiet, relaxed, and natural! The hotel and the Rock Suites have been built into the rock, without destroying the natural landscape, and they have even protected the reef and coral directly in front of the hotel so it's full of amazing fish.
John and Silvana were a dream, their staff always happy and smiley, and great natural and organic food. I can't wait to get back here again in the future and see what it looks like completed.

On the Boat to Southern Pentecost Island, Vanuatu
To get from village to village on Pentecost island, we employed the Nakava boat. It was less than an hour boat ride from Rangusuksu to the southernmost point of the island.
