We went to André Rieu's Love in Maastricht concert in 2018 for what we thought was a classical music concert - but we were wrong! What followed was a fantastic celebration in the Vrijthof replete with fireworks, singing, dancing, and general merriment. We couldn't help but feel a little closer to our new home city of Maastricht, especially the day after the concert, when we celebrated another milestone...

Het Vrijthof (Maastricht)
It is located in the southern part of the Dutch province of Limburg, of which it is the capital.
Vrijthof, the best-known square in the city. Sights:
Sint-Servaas Basiliek, the Romanesque church of Saint Servatius. The tomb of Saint Servatius in the crypt is a favoured place of pilgrimage: Pope John Paul II visited here in 1985.
Sint-Janskerk, a sandstone Gothic church dedicated to Saint John the Baptist with a distinctive red tower.
