Cliffs of Moher Wild Atlantic Way & Galway City 1 Day Tour
Visit the stunning Cliffs of Moher, walk along the breathtaking Atlantic Edge Walk in the Burren National park & and dive into the bohemian atmosphere of Galway City. For more information or to book this tour visit
Travel with us to the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare located on Ireland’s wild rugged Atlantic coast. The cliffs are the highest cliffs in Europe at 214 meters/700 feet high and were recently voted as the seventh most wonderful heritage site in the world, a global poll conducted by UNESCO.
Departing from Dublin the tour will travel through the counties of Kildare and Limerick before arriving in County Clare. Passing by Bunratty Castle a 15th century medieval Norman fortress and on through Lahinch a world famous surfing and golfing destination. We actually travel through this world famous golf links and along the Atlantic coast.
Arriving at the Cliffs of Moher you benefit from having a premium admittance ticket to the Atlantic Edge an exciting interpretive centre and a new Visitor Experience. Situated in a large domed cave, see photographs, exhibits, displays and experiences that will enchant all who visit. Continue the tour through the dome and experience a virtual reality Cliff face adventure known as THE LEDGE, shown in the audiovisual theatre allowing you to experience life at the cliff face both above and below sea level.
Moving outside the visitor centre enjoy a walk along the Cliff face and experience for yourself the exhilarating freedom and the power of nature at work. The fresh air blows in off the ocean and the awe-inspiring sheer height of the Cliffs when looking over the edge to the Atlantic are very memorable.
The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometres along the western seaboard of County Clare. Visit O'Brien's Tower which stands proudly on a headland off these wonderful Cliffs and see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay (2 hour stop).
From the Cliffs of Moher, we continue our travelling day deep into the Burren. An amazing scenic drive along Europe’s edge ... next stop North America! Along the 'Atlantic Coast' and through the Burren National Park - see 75% of Ireland’s native flora with numerous ancient monuments, Megalithic Tombs (older than the Pyramids!), Fairy Forts and famous Celtic Crosses.
We stop in the Burren and all can enjoy a walk along the Atlantic ledge. Experience this amazing lunar landscape, breath in this wonderful countryside.
Continuing around Galway Bay towards Galway city we pass the Blackhead Lighthouse and on through Kinvara fishing village famed for its Galway Hookers (boats) and Dunguire Castle built in 1520 and originally the royal palace of the King of Connaught.
There are so many stories to be told about this part of Ireland that you will be thrilled that you have chosen to travel with the only day tour company from Dublin that has a dedicated professional tour guide to involve you with everything you see and a driver that must concentrate fully on the road in this very remote part of Ireland.
We arrive in Galway City described by the writer W.B Yeats as “The Venice of the West”. Galway, city of the tribes is Ireland’s cultural capital. This free-spirited, artistic and bohemian city has an ambience all of its own. Take a 30 minute guided walking tour (included in the ticket) and learn all about this medieval city and its Spanish trading connections. After the walking tour, you are free to explore the narrow pedestrian musical streets, discover its secrets with numerous speciality shops, boutique and cafes.
Saying goodbye to Galway the day tour returns to Dublin. Sit back relax and listen to the music. The onboard entertainment will include extracts from the show Riverdance and other select examples of Irish culture which is determined by the tour guide who is looking after you for the day.
Arriving in Dublin with wonderful memories, to be sure!

Galway and Irish Countryside - Irish Day Tours, Part 1
We took a Connemara day tour from Dublin through Irish Day Tours and it was so fun! The tour capacity was much smaller than normal which made it so much lovelier! Even the driving bits were nice because the countryside is just so beautiful and green~ Galway was also pretty cool, but we only had about an hour there, so we just got to walk around a bit. :(
Part 2 will be Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, and Killarney. Please look forward to it~!

GALWAY, IRELAND| Road Trip DAY 2| Travel vlog| 26.5.2017
On the second day of our road trip, we took a scenic drive along Sky Road and Beach Road in Galway, which are part of The Wild Atlantic Way. The Wild Atlantic Way is 2,500km of coastal roads that covers 6 regions of Ireland.
Along the way, we saw many white horses, cows, boats, castles, mountains, lakes, small forests and sheep. Lots and lots of sheep. The sceneries were beautiful and serene. Driving through the small lanes surrounded by tunnels of trees and then emerging to see the sea... It felt like we were in Fairyland, peaceful and breathtaking.
Of course, it wouldn't be Ireland if it didn't rain and we did get our fair share of rain at the beach in the afternoon. However, the mists and clouds gave the mountains a sort of mysterious feel.
Finally, we set off on yet another long drive (4.5 hours to be exact!) to our next destination - Wicklow, Ireland. Stay tuned for DAY 3! ;)
p.s. Yes, I know that's not a secret door, it's the exit okay bye
p.p.s. Any feedback would be great! Don't be a stranger ^^

Transcript:
On this episode of Traveling with Krushworth
My first stop is Galway, County Galway
Before adventuring into the countryside.
Travel with me and walk the streets of this Irish-speaking city.
Immerse yourself in the music and culture
On a stroll through the Latin Quarter. Don’t miss the historic King’s Head Pub.
Sit for a while in Eyre Square, walk through the Spanish Arch
A part of the medieval system of walls, or cast a line into the River Corrib,
I’m in the medieval city of Galway
And as you can see, I’m walking down the heart of the centre itself.
There’s pubs, there’s buskers, there’s music everywhere.
There’s someone just setting up here.
It is an amazing place, but as I’m walking around
And showing you some of the things to see,
I hope you have a great time Traveling with Krushworth
Alright, thanks again and see you soon.
A city of faith both new and old, Galway has an ages-old medieval past.
The church of St. Nicholas, a saint revered by mariners
Was visited by Christopher Columbus in 1477.
Reflect upon the past, but the city truly lights up
When a favourite rugby team wins big.
So if you couldn’t tell, it’s Sunday and I found the weekend market.
Which takes place throughout in the summer time.
There’s food, there’s art vendors
It is quite the sight and it stretches on for quite a long ways.
Alright I’ll continue on. See you later.
Spend time at Salthill's oceanside promenades and then bid farewell to Galway.
Venture into the alien Burren region, a landscape inhabited
By early people for thousands of years.
The Burren in County Clare is an alien-like landscape
Known for its ancient inhabitants who scratched out their existence upon the rocks.
The Neolithic portal tomb at Poulnabrone stitches together a tapestry
Of Ireland’s first farmers, a society with archaic, but telling death rituals.
Upon your visit to medieval Kilfenora, it’s easy to see why
Travelers are enthralled with the religious high crosses.
Gaze at the Doorty Cross and marvel at the 12th century cathedral ruins.
Alright, well it was a long trip by bus
because of course, I can’t apparate like Dumbledore and Harry Potter did.
But if you guys are fans of Half Blood Prince, this was
One of the locations in the film for Voldemort’s Horcrux,
You know, the scene in the cave
But I’ll show you more as I’m walking around
See you later.
Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands
Continues to offer visitors a quintessential Irish experience
As soon as the ferry lands at the pier.
Before the adventure begins, travelers should
Explore quaint, picturesque Kilronan town.
For those who want to further connect with this ages-old landscape,
Rent a bicycle from the shop near the ferry dock before
Setting out for the island’s treasured hill fort, Dun Anghosa.
Populated since 3,000 BCE, the Aran Islands are a world of Stone Age forts
Wedge tombs, early Christian religious sites
And a land of storied tradition and immense heritage.
Climb the rocky hill to Dun Aonghosa, a stone fort originally built in 1,100 BCE.
Walk through the gates, and carefully stand, or crawl
To what the ancients saw as the world’s edge.
Perched precariously on this bleak outcropping overlooking the Atlantic Ocean
This must-see hill fort is a reminder of a turbulent past,
But also of a people who built an engineering marvel.

Featured Cities:
-Dublin is the capital of and largest city in Ireland. Dublin is located in the province of Leinster on the east coast of Ireland, at the mouth of the River Liffey and bordered on the South by the Wicklow Mountains. The city has an urban area population of 1,173,179. The population of the Dublin Region, as of 2016, was 1,347,359 people, and the population of the Greater Dublin area was 1,904,806. There is archaeological debate regarding precisely where Dublin was established by Celtic-speaking people in the 7th century. Later expanded as a Viking settlement, the Kingdom of Dublin became Ireland's principal city following the Norman invasion. The city expanded rapidly from the 17th century and was briefly the second largest city in the British Empire before the Acts of Union in 1800. Following the partition of Ireland in 1922, Dublin became the capital of the Irish Free State, later renamed Ireland.
-Limerick is a city in County Limerick, Ireland. It is located in the Mid-West Region and is also part of the province of Munster. Limerick City and County Council is the local authority for the city. The city lies on the River Shannon, with the historic core of the city located on King's Island, which is bounded by the Shannon and the Abbey River. Limerick is also located at the head of the Shannon Estuary where the river widens before it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. With a population of 94,192, Limerick is the third most populous urban area in the state, and the fourth most populous city on the island of Ireland.
-Doolin is a coastal village in County Clare, Ireland, on the Atlantic coast. It borders the spa town of Lisdoonvarna. It is a noted centre of traditional Irish music, which is played nightly in its pubs, making it a popular tourist destination. There are numerous nearby archaeological sites, many dating to the Iron Age and earlier. Doonagore Castle and Ballinalacken Castle are also in the area. The area was officially classified as part of the West Clare Gaeltacht (an Irish-speaking community) until 1956, and, due to trade with the Aran Islands, maintained a strong connection to it until the 1990s
-Galway is a city in the West of Ireland, in the province of Connacht. Galway lies on the River Corrib between Lough Corrib and Galway Bay, surrounded by County Galway, and is the sixth most populous city in Ireland, with a population of 79,934. The city's name comes from the Irish name Gaillimhe, which formed the western boundary of the earliest settlement, Dún Gaillimhe Fort Gaillimh. Residents of the city are referred to as Galwegians.

The Best of West Ireland: Dingle, Galway, and the Aran Islands
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | Deepest Ireland is best experienced on its Gaelic-speaking west coast, where the rugged villages have changed little over the generations. After exploring the remote Aran Islands, we visit Galway, chase a friendly dolphin, and delve into the scenic Dingle Peninsula. Ringing with music from its rustic pubs and dotted with prehistoric forts, this region is something special. Ireland Wild Atlantic Way Road Trip Vlog
We had such an incredible trip in Ireland. We are already planning our trip back. We flew into Shannon and made our way up the Wild Atlantic Way through several seaside villages and a day trip to Galway. The scenery was breathtaking and we had lots of days filled with cider, beer and fish & chips. Stay tuned for my full travel diary coming to the blog tomorrow!
Galway day trip!
Here's a short video from my trip to Galway today! My friend and I took the Paddy Wagon tourist bus to get there! The bus driver was quite the character.
This video is less vloggy, and more about the sights and stuff. Since we were on the bus a lot, I didn't want to vlog a whole ton. But the beautiful Irish landscape should make up for it!
On this trip we got to see the set of the Princess Bride and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! Corcomroe Abbey, the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, Doolin, and Kinvara, as well as many more amazing places that I forgot the name of (lets be real, I can't spell or pronounce half of them...)
Until next time! Have a great week, guys! I so far don't have anything planned this next week, so I can't promise a new video or anything too fun for next week. But we'll see!
None of the music in this video belongs to me! But is the amazing products of TG Lurgan and Steve Earle!

Wake Me Up as Gaeilge performed by TG Lurgan (free download)
Galway Girls by Steve Earle (purchased on iTunes)

Galway bay is a beautiful area on Wild Atlantic Way Ireland. In Galway county you will find a few castles. Some of the things you can do in Ireland is visit these castles but you can also spend the night. Some of them are hotels. Abbeyglen Castle Hotel was one we visited and stayed in. It is a romantic getaway in Ireland. Clifden is the town where you will find this castle. Clifden, Ireland in Connemara region is a lovely place to spend a couple days if you plan to visit Kylemore Abbey. Ireland has so much to offer to castle lovers and those who love the celtic spirit. You can discover Ireland Wild Atlantic Way like this. Irish castles are plenty in this region. You will be treated to some complimentary Irish tea cake each day. Connemara hotels are plenty but it's great to stay at this castle hotel.
