A Walk Through Yanks Air Museum
The same day that I visited the March Field air museum near Los Angeles, I was also able to just barely manage a quick visit to the Yanks Air Museum in Chino, California. I had just visited its neighboring Planes of Fame museum the previous day, and was planning to visit the San Diego Aviation Museum the next day. All this, along with visits to the Petersen Automotive Museum, and Queen Mary ocean liner, were done during my three day planned layover in the Los Angeles area between Parts 1 & 2 of my Train Odyssey 2. Videos of all these attractions are, or will soon be, found here on my YouTube channel.

The nearly 15-year effort to restore to flying condition the Boeing B-29 Superfortress known as Doc marked a milestone on Monday as volunteers rolled out the airplane from its hangar during a ceremony at Air Capital Flight Line, formerly Boeing Wichita, on south Oliver. Video by Jerry Siebenmark.

INSIDE A B-25! Crawling through EAA's Berlin Express - FLIGHT VLOG
A few months before #OSH19 I visited my new friends Hal Bryan and Sara Nisler up at EAA. We were only supposed to have lunch, but the day got a little bit more epic than that.
The Berlin Express is EAA's newly restored B-25 Mitchell Bomber. It's going on tour all over the United States to spread the wonder of aviation, but before it left, I got to climb through.... and smell it.
Also a big CONGRATS to Sara, who a few days before publishing this video actually completed her PPL and joined the ranks as a Private Pilot.
Yes, I know the landing wasn't that bad.
No, I wasn't scared about the birds.
Disclaimer: This video isn't sponsored by EAA, but they did buy me lunch and let me crawl around in their B25.

DISCLAIMER:
In the interest of time, all flying sequences are cut down heavily. That means we had to cut things like running checklists, traffic position reports, and other procedural items from the video.
Also I am not your flight instructor. I don't even pretend to play one on TV. This video is NOT flight instruction - go learn to fly with a great teacher instead (you won't regret it).
