Banff Glaciers & Falls, Jasper Wabasso Lake hike

We drove on Trans-Canada Highway 1 from Canmore through Banff National Park to Jasper National Park, 600 km round trip, with stops and a hike in between. Along the way, we saw Bow Glacier and Athabasca Glacier. We visited Athabasca Falls. We stopped at Sunwapta Falls to ask where to find the trail head to Wabasso Lake. We spent a few hours hiking from the trail head on Highway 93 to Wabasso Lake and back. On the drive back to Canmore, we stopped at Tangle Creek Falls and had a good view of the Columbia Icefields.

Slideshow of Berg Lake trail in Jasper National Park. Tobi, Cat and I hiked the 20km trail climbing Mt Robson to reach the campsite along side the famous Berg Lake below the Berg and Mist glaciers. A lucky visit from a Lynx observing our tent skills. Emperor falls and visits from Bears and many smaller critters throughout the night.
