Waccatee Zoo Myrtle Beach Animal Walkthrough And Rookery
A slow walk through part of the Waccatee Zoological Farm in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA. There are farm animals, primates, lions, tigers, birds, and reptiles housed in the zoo.
The Zoo has been criticized over the years for poor animal care but looks to be in much better shape now. The animals pens and cages seems to be much cleaner and some of the bigger problems have been addressed.
Waccatee Zoological Farm in Myrtle Beach, SC
We recently visited the Waccatee Zoological Farm in Myrtle Beach with Addi's preschool. Ellie wasn't able to join us for this one. It has a nice mix of domestic farm animals and more exotic animals like lions and tigers and monkeys. There are beautiful trails that meander through the woods and plenty to keep the kids entertained. If animals in cages bother you then I'd skip this one because most are caged. There are some beautiful peacocks, swans, ducks, egrets, chickens, roosters and cattle roaming uncaged but the bigger animals are caged.
