Waddington
In 1990 television cameras descended on the area for a Granada TV / Channel 4 documentary, which focused on a unique experiment to see what the effects of multi channel TV would have on the small village of Waddington. The community station Waddington Village Television was also set up specifically for the purpose.

This Morning: Waddington Village Broadcast Special
Waddington: The Television Village, was one of the first social experiments to show how technology can help to improve our lives. With 97% of the villagers tuning in to watch the village television show each night, it helped to glue the village together. Today, Waddington is still made up of many 'locals' intent on enjoying life.
This video shows Debra Winkley and Jonathan Brown being interviewed on ITV's This morning show in 1990 talking about WDTV as well as the first few Channel 4 episodes. Villagers can drag through the video and see faces past and present including local's celebrities David Dugdale, Jim Tierney, Richard Harrison, James Warburton, Roger and Peter Hargreaves to name a few .....
We are hoping to create a Christmas Video that combines the six half hour episodes together and will sell them from December 2015 onwards to raise money for Waddington Village and (a charity close to our hearts)

....I've done this route before, but it's worth another circuit...and I stop briefly at old Browsholme Hall as I'd forgotten the date on the gatehouse wall...1682...but Whalley Abbey gatehouse is 200 years older....!

MOORS murders - WikiVidi Documentary
The Moors murders were carried out by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley between July 1963 and October 1965, in and around Manchester, England. The victims were five children aged between 10 and 17—Pauline Reade, John Kilbride, Keith Bennett, Lesley Ann Downey and Edward Evans—at least four of whom were sexually assaulted. Two of the victims were discovered in graves dug on Saddleworth Moor; a third grave was discovered there in 1987, more than twenty years after Brady and Hindley's trial. The body of a fourth victim, Keith Bennett, is also suspected to be buried there,, but despite repeated searches remains undiscovered. The police were initially aware of only three killings, those of Edward Evans, Lesley Ann Downey and John Kilbride. The investigation was reopened in 1985, after Brady was reported in the press as having confessed to the murders of Pauline Reade and Keith Bennett. Brady and Hindley were taken separately to Saddleworth Moor to assist the police in their search for the graves,...
