Day trip on the Sealink ferry over to Waiheke Island with Tash for some lunch, shopping and horse ride with 'Waiheke Equestrian' for the 1.5 hour Farm Trek. We rode out over the beautiful property in the middle of Waiheke with amazing views of the vineyards, the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland and Coromandel.

Our second day in New Zealand was a BLAST! We took a ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island to go zip lining and then wine tasting. We ended the night on the West Coast of the island at our next AirBnb which gave us a magical sunset and view. Make sure to wait until the end to see it!

Scenic Coastal Trail Waiheke Island New Zealand
I mentioned in my previous video how Auckland was such a boring city. Well it still is, but if you do happen to be in Auckland, your best bet is to get away from the city and visit one of the many islands that surround the bay. I decided to check out Waiheke island which is a short ferry ride from Auckland harbor. I enjoy hiking, and Waiheke provided that opportunity for me. It was a good half a day trip to the island. Public transport is limited, but it is possible to hire a bicycle and bike the whole island on a full day if you push it. Renting a car is also possible but an expensive option. Or you can do the many scenic walks along the coastal trail which I did. The trails intersect from one part of the island to the other, criss-crossing roads, leading up to vineyards, rich island getaway houses by millionaires. I haven't been to Hawaii, but I can imagine Hawaii being like this place. Definitely worth a visit.

Here is a VLOG i made of my long weekend that just passed, it was seriously the most memorable and amazing weekend and we made so many beautiful memories. We started the weekend with Hayley's (soon to be sister) hens do on Waiheke island visiting the vineyards, then James and i and our friends traveled down to our family batch at Whangamata in the Coromandel, we didn't have the most amazing weather but we definitely made the most of it!
