A day in Hale'iwa north shore Hawaii
I took some video of out trip to the North Shore of Oahu to a little town called Hale' iwa. We visited XCEL surf shop which is a small company that makes high quality wet suits right in the basement of the store. (made in America) They actually make wet suits for a few high speed low drag military units on the island.
Then we get some shave ice at Aokis. We go to Aokis because my wife and her sister went to high school with the owner.
Then we take the kids to Ali'i beach park. The wave are small which is great for the kids and there were turtles feeding just a few feet away from the beach.
Not a bad way to spend a day in Hawaii.

Waimea Beach is famous for surfing. A big wave of over seven meters is coming. But it's a story of winter. Before the winter comes, the children will also visit the beach with suitable waves to play. Of course, it is an overwhelming wave for a very young child. There is one more reason why Waimea Beach is famous. It is a stupid rock jumping. Rock climbing is really good. I can feel good about it. People like to jump here to feel the thrill. I think it started from the '70s. Previously, the sand was all around the sand, and now all of the sand is washed away and is perfect for jumping. Beautiful nature, Hawaiian people who know how to enjoy the nature. These two come together to complete the true landscape of Hawaii.

Hawaii Ecotourism Hot Spot Waimea Valley, North Shore Oahu, Voluntourism
- Hawaii Eco Tourism (ecotourism) Hot Spot Waimea Valley, North Shore Oahu
Ecotourism is responsible travel to fragile, pristine, and usually protected areas that strive to be low impact and (often) small scale (as an alternative to mass tourism). Its purpose is to educate the traveler; provide funds for ecological conservation; directly benefit the economic development and political empowerment of local communities; and foster respect for different cultures and for human rights. Since the 1980s ecotourism has been considered a critical endeavor by environmentalists, so that future generations may experience destinations relatively untouched by human intervention.[1] Several university programs use this description as the working definition of ecotourism.[2]
Generally, ecotourism focuses on volunteering, or voluntourism, personal growth and environmental responsibility. Ecotourism typically involves travel to destinations where flora, fauna, and cultural heritage are the primary attractions. One of the goals of ecotourism is to offer tourists insight into the impact of human beings on the environment, and to foster a greater appreciation of our natural habitats.
Responsible ecotourism includes programs that minimize the negative aspects of conventional tourism on the environment and enhance the cultural integrity of local people. Therefore, in addition to evaluating environmental and cultural factors, an integral part of ecotourism is the promotion of recycling, energy efficiency, water conservation, and creation of economic opportunities for local communities.[3] For these reasons, ecotourism often appeals to environmental and social responsibility advocates.
This garden is part of Waimea Valley's effort to provide protective cultivation for our rarest native plants, studying propagation techniques and keeping accurate records, all in hope of restoring self-sustaining plant communities for future generations to enjoy.

Kualoa: The Jungle Expedition Tour @ Kualoa Ranch
We jumped on board one of Kualoa Ranch’s custom built, 16 passenger jungle vehicles for a 90 minute tour that rumbled us through the Hawaiian rainforest along jungle trails, across isolated stream beds and powered up steep, bumpy hills. It was an adventurous and rugged Jungle Jeep tour deep into the beautiful Hakipu`u Jurassic rainforest. This lush and tropical valley was where many of the Jurassic World, Kong Skull Island and Jumanji scenes were filmed. We also saw the 800 year old ancient Hawaiian fishpond called the Moli’i Pond. It is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places. A glimpse of some of the areas used to shoot the new Ben Affleck movie was a bonus! At the end of the Jungle Expedition, we enjoyed Kualoa Ranch’s delicious smoked barbecue lunch. ???????????????????????????????? ???? ???? ????????????????????????????????

Hawaii Historical Sites | Pu'u O Mahuka Heiau State Historic Site, Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii, USA
Aloha!~
Pu'u O Mahuka Heiau State Historic Site
59-818 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712
Puʻu o Mahuka Heiau is the largest heiau (religious site or temple) on Oʻahu, covering almost 2 acres. The name is translated as “hill of escape”. Undoubtedly, this heiau played an important role in the social, political, and religious system of Waimea Valley which was a major occupation center of Oʻahu in the pre-contact period.
