Ishikawa Wajima Kiriko Hall - 輪島キリコ会館- 4K Ultra HD
Ishikawa Wajima Kiriko Hall - 輪島キリコ会館- 4K Ultra HD : Another very interesting attraction in Wajima is its Kiriko Hall exhibition. Kirikos are huge illuminated festival floats that light up the Noto peninsula city during the summer festival period from July to September, and then exhibited year-round in a dedicated museum located in Wajima city.
If you are not fortunate enough to enjoy one of these events, you should at least give the Wajima Kiriko hall a try and be ready to be amazed by the beauty that comes with it!

Ishikawa Wajima Lacquer - 輪島塗 - 4K Ultra HD
Japanese lacquer is one of the most famous and amazing craftworks that one can enjoy or, better still, own. Most often delivered in a simple form like a bowl or a cup, Japanese lacquer is one of the most complex forms of craft, or shall we say art, that you can imagine.
While Japan offers many “Lacquer” capitals, Wajima, located in Ishikawa prefecture, is very famous for the extreme complexity of its style of Japanese lacquer, and offers its very own type of lacquer also called Wajima Nuri.
Depending of the craftsperson, or artist, creating a lacquer object like a bowl, a bento box or tea cup, can involve as many as 200 steps spanning anywhere from 2 to 5 years.
It is thanks to the centuries of experience that Wajima Nuri quickly become a beacon of excellence in Japanese lacquer. In the small city of Wajima there are around 1,500 professionals dedicated to this art, as it is a central part of the city’s cultural heritage.

Hi guys,
Here's an extensive view of Wajima Koshu Daiko playing one of their principle taiko pieces. Wajima Koshu Daiko is a semi-pro junior kumi-daiko team from Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture. They have been competitors at the All Nippon Taiko Junior Contests for consecutive years. Like the other kumi daiko groups in the Noto Peninusla, Wajima Koshu Daiko fuses contemporary sosaku taiko with traditional kiriko taiko rhythms.

Ishikawa Kanazawa Higashi Chaya - 東茶屋街 - 4K Ultra HD
Ishikawa Kanazawa Higashi Chaya - 東茶屋街 : Located in Ishikawa Prefecture and a good 2 hours away from Tokyo by Shinkansen, Kanazawa is one of those cities where time has somehow stopped, giving us the chance to enjoy Japan like never before! This is especially true in Kanazawa Higashi Chaya District, which is the geisha district of Kanazawa and as such is one of its most well-preserved areas.
Much more modest than Kyoto’s geisha district, Higashi Chaya does however offer the chance for its visitors to not only enjoy some of Kanazawa’s most delicious treats and tea, but also the opportunity to visit some of the many guest house used in the past by geisha as living quarters (Ochaya Shima Guest House).
If beer and sake are more your thing, rest assured that Higashi Chaya has everything you need, and if you are curious enough you will exactly find what you are looking for in this district with a big selection of traditional bars and restaurants.
