I’m here in Bucharest, Romania for the Experience Bucharest press trip, with 40 travel bloggers from around the world. Thanks to the Experience Bucharest team for putting this trip together year after year. I’m so glad I was able to participate this year, we had a great time touring around Bucharest.
For me the highlight, other than meeting everyone, was the Hot Rod Fun, driving the little go cart hot rods around the city. We also had some tours, parties, food and spa time. What a great three days, it went by so quick. But luckily I’m also attending the Experience Romania press trip right after this, 9 days traveling around Romania, can’t wait!

Thank you for finding and watching this video! On my two-month from Copenhagen over 26 Scandinavian, Baltic and Balkan countries down to Zagreb I took thousands of photos and videos, which I will be uploading in the next few weeks. Here is a short impression of Bucharest, Romania in May 2017. I saw some curious sculptures such as the 'impaled potato' and a bust of Vlad Dracula and also learned a thing or two about Romania's past by touring the Palace of Parliament (It's the heaviest building in the world! But don't ask me how the weighed it).
I like to put some useful information for people, who are thinking about visiting the same place in the description box. Obviously I only recommend activities that I've experienced and enjoyed myself.
Free Walking Tour: Walkabout Free Tours (I did the 'The Story of Bucharest' tour which was great!)
Sightseeing: Palace of Parliament (you will have to there and sign up for a tour ahead of time - I could only get one for the next day. Also filming/taking photos with a camera costs extra, using your phone is fine!), Revolution Square, Parcul Izvor, The Rebirth Memorial Eternal Glory to the Romanian Revolution and Its Heroes from December 1989 (aka the 'impaled potato')
Pro Tip: Don't ever, under no circumstances whatsoever confuse Bucharest for Budapest (you will hear a fun story about that when you're there!) ;-)
