Bath, UK complete walking tour
The town center of Bath has a human scale with lowrise buildings and quiet streets lined with shops and galleries ideal for strolling, all contained in a relatively small area only about 1000 meters in one direction and 500 meters in the other. A nice place to start walking is the small Abbey Green, a peaceful courtyard with a large tree in the middle and historic old buildings all around. This courtyard is quite central. It's just one block over from the Bath Abbey and yet is easily missed because it's really not very conspicuous.

Starting in London, best of all, then to Bath on a very easy train ride. Bath has a human scale with quiet pedestrian lanes lined with shops and galleries ideal for strolling.
York is one of the most historic cities in England. We will be showing you the great old buildings, some street entertainment – presenting you a summary with more details in other programs in our series.
Lake District is a very popular holiday destination, famous for, forests, mountains, quaint villages and lakes designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2017. Four of the top activities are exploring the towns, taking boat rides, do a little nature walking, and take a driving tour of the region to see the other nearby lakes and quaint villages.
In Scotland, Edinburgh’s Old Town has retained many of its original buildings and the 18th century New Town is also well-preserved, both still functioning as a great examples of healthy urban neighborhoods.
Ireland is a small country blessed with the rich variety of wonderful sites, most famous for its green rolling hills, history, friendly people, and Guinness. Our three main destinations will be Dingle, Galway and of course Dublin, capital of the country, a great center of culture, learning and nightlife. We'll bring you inside prehistoric stone structures in Dingle. We'll take a trip out to the Aran Islands by ferry, a remote place with a great many archaeological sites, traditional culture and spectacular sea cliffs. We will be visiting small villages along the way: Clifden, Killarney then Kinsale, a southern town with colorful buildings and an ancient stone fort. Dublin is a wonderful city, but don't make the mistake when you're visiting Ireland of only going to Dublin – there's so much more to see.

My first European Christmas market experience was Paris 2014. However, my first proper Christmas market visit is right here, in Bath. I say that because I didn’t really appreciate the tradition of the Christmas market. 
I chose the UK to start out the exploration and discovery of Christmas markets because I have always associated Christmas with Dickensian London. And, I’ve read that the Bath Christmas market was one of the best in the UK, and it just so happens that one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites is also here, the Roman Baths.
Learning from other vloggers, I looked for free walking tours offered in the city, and I found a really recommendable tour: bathguides.org.uk The tour starts in front of the entrance to the Roman Baths, just turn up, there is no need to book in advance.
I didn’t know what to expect about the Christmas market except for a lively and busy atmosphere.... well, it’s not only that but more! The sights, sounds and smells in pedestrian-only malls are so inviting and exciting to shop and look through. It can also get claustrophobic as the crowd can get heavy.
Although, the Bath Christmas market in the main square of the abbey was a lot smaller than I envisioned it to be.  But the city of Bath is a lot larger than I thought it would be.  It was nice to explore and learn the greater city of Bath outside its archaeological importance.

UK, England, Bath - Walking to the Roman Baths in to HD 1080p
The Roman Baths complex is a site of historical interest in the English city of Bath. The house is a well-preserved Roman site for public bathing.
The Roman Baths themselves are below the modern street level. There are four main features: the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the Museum holding finds from Roman Bath. The buildings above street level date from the 19th century.
The Baths are a major tourist attraction and, together with the Grand Pump Room, receive more than one million visitors a year,[1] with 1,037,518 people during 2009.[2] It was featured on the 2005 TV program Seven Natural Wonders as one of the wonders of the West Country. Visitors can see the Baths and Museum but cannot enter the water. An audio guide is available in several languages.
Hampstead, London - History & Walking Tour day trip
Curious about Hampstead NW3, the borough of North London near where I live, I researched a little about the history of Hampstead and filmed this short walking tour of the area.
In this video I cover:
- A brief history of Hampstead from around 1698 to the present day, including facts about:
- Hampstead Well, spring water, baths and spa (Well Walk, Well Road, & Flask Walk)
- Burgh House (Dr William Gibbons' former home and also once the home of Rudyard Kipling's daughter Elsie Bambridge. Today it's the Hampstead Museum.
- Whitestone Pond (aka White Stone Pond or Horse pond, near Whitestone Walk)
- The Admiral's House on Admiral's Walk (inspiration to PL Travers' Mary Poppins story featuring the eccentric Admiral Boom)
- Poet, John Keats' connection to Hampstead including his home on Well Walk and later in Wentworth Place on Keats Grove, which is today the Keats House Museum and Branch Library.
- Painter and Artist John Constable's connection to Hampstead and his home at number 40 on Wells Walk
- A few other famous people throughout history who have lived in Hampstead
- A few more recent celebrities who have been said to have connections with Hampstead
- My favourite places in Hampstead including the crepes from Hampstead Creperie (La Crêperie de Hampstead), the shops, Hampstead Heath, the swimming ponds in the Heat, Parliament Hill and the cute side streets that are often decorated with pretty bunting.

A Walk Through York, England
York is a historic walled city at the confluence of the rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England, and is the traditional county town of Yorkshire to which it gives its name. The city has a rich heritage and has provided the backdrop to major political events in England throughout much of its two millennia of existence. The city offers a wealth of historic attractions, of which York Minster is the most prominent, and a variety of cultural and sporting activities making it a popular tourist destination for millions.
The city was founded by the Romans as Eboracum in 71 AD. It became the capital of the Roman province of Britannia Inferior, and later of the kingdoms of Northumbria and Jorvik. In the Middle Ages, York grew as a major wool trading centre and became the capital of the northern ecclesiastical province of the Church of England, a role it has retained.
In the 19th century, York became a hub of the railway network and a confectionery manufacturing centre. In recent decades, the economy of York has moved from being dominated by its confectionery and railway-related industries to one that provides services. The University of York and health services have become major employers, whilst tourism has become an important element of the local economy.
From 1996, the term City of York describes a unitary authority area which includes rural areas beyond the old city boundaries. In 2011 the urban area had a population of 153,717, while in 2010 the entire unitary authority had an estimated population of 202,400.

Walking the Kennet and Avon Canal from Devises to Bath - Easy UK Walking Holidays with Contours
This section of the Kennet and Avon Canal trail takes in much of the beautiful scenery you would expect from the full route, but at a more manageable pace. Our Stile-Free offering meanders from Devises to Bath along 23 miles of level, easy terrain. The views of the canals and surrounding countryside are truly stunning as you stroll along the Avon Valley. [4K] BRISTOL UK (2018) WALKING TOUR - City Centre
As close to being there, without being there.
If you're wondering what to do in one day in Bristol, follow this walking tour of the City Centre. We start on Quay Street, opposite St John's church, surrounded by iconic street art - El Mac's 'Clothed with the Sun,' Nick Walker's 'Tipping Red Paint,' 'Welcome To Bristol' by Tats Cru and Aryz's 'Wolf.
Through the arch into Broad Street we're greeted by Conor Harrington's The Duel of Bristol. Turning along Bell Lane we cross to explore Leonard Lane, often known as Graffiti Alley because it's walls are completely covered in spray art.
We emerge into the relative grandeur of Corn Street. Among bars and restaurants we find an open air market and Exchange Avenue leading to the covered food market known as St Nicholas Market.
We emerge to follow Broad Street and pass Edward Everard's Printing Works with it's amazing tiled frontage and the Palestine Museum before heading back through the arch beneath St Johns.
We follow Christmas Street to cross Colston Avenue to ascend the famous Christmas Steps. Passing the board game cafe 'Chance & Counters,' the barbers 'Harry Blades & Angry Daves', the '20th Century Flicks' video shop, 'That' art gallery and many more independent traders, we arrive on Colston Street.
We pause to view Foster's Almshouses dating back to the 15th Century before taking Trenchard Street to Colston Hall - Bristol's largest concert hall. Continuing on, we find The Olde Hatchet Inn dating from 1606. Just beyond here, we find more street art including Big Deal Kids by JPS and an amazing piece of pop art by the collaboration of Richt and 45RPM.
And just around the corner, as we mount the steps to Park Street is
Banksy's Hanging Man (or Well Hung Lover as it's sometimes known as.)
We complete our walk with Bristol City Council on our right as we cross College Green to view Bristol Cathedral.

We did two free walking tours today, and, unlike the ones we did in Europe, no tips were allowed. They were led by The Mayor of Bath's Corps of Honorary Guides. The first walk, at 10:30 am was an overview of the important sites in Bath and covered just about everything we would want to see.
