Walking in DRESDEN / Germany - Central Station to Old Town and back - 4K 60fps (UHD)
A quick walk from the train station to the old town of Dresden as I had an hour between busses. On this winter Sunday evening the inner city of Dresden is fairly quiet with the shops closed. A few tourists check out the beautiful Old Town of Dresden which is worth visiting any time of the year.
We start at the Dresden Main Station and walk along the Prager Straße towards Old Town. There we check out the Frauenkirche, see the Elbe river, Semperoper and Zwinger before heading back to Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main station).
No vlog, no intrusive faces or talking - just walking for about an hour enjoying the Elbflorenz.

DRESDEN A walking tour around the city / Ein Rundgang durch die Stadt / Un paseo por la ciudad
Photographic travel guide across the Art and Architecture highlights of the city of Dresden (Germany / Deutschland).
Music from the composer Roger Subirana.
Dresden is the capital city of the Free State of Saxony (Sachsen) in Germany. It is situated in a valley on the River Elbe, near the Czech border. The Dresden conurbation is part of the Saxon Triangle metropolitan area with 2.4 million inhabitants.
Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendour. The city was known as the Jewel Box, because of its baroque and rococo city center. A controversial Allied aerial bombing towards the end of World War II killed 25,000 civilians and destroyed the entire city center. The impact of the bombing and 40 years of urban development during the East German communist era have considerably changed the face of the city. Some restoration work has helped to reconstruct parts of the historic inner city, including the Katholische Hofkirche, the Semper Oper and the Dresdner Frauenkirche.
Since German reunification in 1990, Dresden has regained importance as one of the cultural, educational, political and economic centers of Germany and Europe. The Dresden University of Technology is one of the 10 largest universities in Germany and part of the German Universities Excellence Initiative.

Dresden (Germany) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Dresden in Saxony.
Dresden is the capital of the German Free State of Saxony and a major centre of culture with a remarkable history. The Wettner Dynasty developed the old town during eight hundred years of power and Friedrich August The First, known as ,The Strong, became its most prominent figure. He had the Zwinger, a kind of outdoor banqueting hall that was intended to be a meeting place of the nobility, designed by the architect, Poppelmann, and sculptor, Balthasar Permoser. As a centre of art and science, Dresden Castle contains a number of collections that are well known throughout the world and draw international visitors to this most ambitiously conceived and successful project. Close by, the stable courtyard is the world's oldest original tournament area of its kind. Its Tuscan-arched arcades originated in the Renaissance period and were used by spectators during various tournaments and entertainments. Count Brühl, a follower of Friedrich August The Second, was presented with the Elb Wall as a gift and had a mile-long walkway built for the nobility. It is ten metres above the banks of the River Elbe and is accessed via an external staircase from Castle Square. Today, Dresden is a harmony of both architecture and landscape and a brilliant work of art!

A Walk Around Dresden, Germany
Dresden is the capital city of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. It is situated in a valley on the River Elbe, near the Czech border. The Dresden conurbation is part of the Saxon Triangle metropolitan area with 2.4 million inhabitants.
Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendor. The city was known as the Jewel Box, because of its baroque and rococo city center. The controversial British and American bombing of Dresden in World War II towards the end of the war killed approximately 25,000, many of whom were civilians, and destroyed the entire city center. The bombing gutted the city, as it did for other major German cities. After the war restoration work has helped to reconstruct parts of the historic inner city, including the Katholische Hofkirche, the Semper Oper and the Dresdner Frauenkirche as well as the suburbs.
Before and since German reunification in 1990, Dresden was and is a cultural, educational, political and economic center of Germany and Europe. The Dresden University of Technology is one of the 10 largest universities in Germany and part of the German Universities Excellence Initiative.

Walking in DRESDEN / Germany ????????- New Town, Old Town to Central Station in Winter - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Dresden is the capital of the eastern German state of Saxony where one walk is on the channel ( )
This time we start our tour at the Albertplatz in Dresden Neustadt.
The Stille Wasser fountains are resting during winter as we start walking south to the old town of Dresden. We pass the Dreikönigskirche and head to the the Elbe river.
There we see the Japanisches Palais, a 18th-century mansion with Japanese details and the Bilderberg Bellevue Hotel Dresden. The viewpoint Canaletto-Blick gives a nice view from north bank of the River Elbe the south bank, where we are heading next.
We cross the Augustus bridge and see many of the attractions of the touristic centre of Dresden, like the Fürstenzug and Frauenkirche. We walk on the Brühlsche Terasse and finally see the Semperoper and Zwinger.
The Striezelmarkt is in the process of deconstruction now in late December. This Christmas market is considered as the market of its kind which celebrated its 585th anniversary in 2019. We soon end our tour as we continue on the Prager Straße. We are heading to the main train station of Dresden, where we finish this winter walk. The tour is in many ways the reverse of our first Dresden walk.

Day Trip to Dresden, Germany
I took a day trip from Prague to Dresden as it is a short 2 hour bus ride from Prague.
Dresden is very easy to get to from Prague or vice versa. You can use student agency bus company or eurolines bus company.
Total ticket price ranges from estimated 20-40 USD depending on several factors including the time of departure, date and seats available.
The historical part of Dresden is very walkable and being near the Elbe river is great.
Make sure to grab a beer at a beer garden along with some sausages. I suggest the currywurst (I may have spelled that wrong).
