Walking in GALWAY / Ireland ????????- 4K 60fps (UHD)
Galway is a harbour city in western Ireland. Popular with students and tourists it is a cultural place where Irish music, song and dance traditions are celebrated.
We start our walk at the 18th-century Eyre Square in front of the Pádraic Ó Conaire statue for the Irish writer. We walk into the shopping area and through the Eyre Square Centre Mall which has some part of the old city wall inside.
The Hall of the Red Earl is also on our list - another 13th-century archaeological site. Walking further we enjoy the streets of Galway with many stone-clad cafes, pubs and old churches.
Some other part of the city across the River Corrib is a bit quieter. We continue our round back to the Shop Street and High Street until the weather starts to get rainy and windy. Some Irish weather experience just before can see one more sight - the Spanish Arc, where we end this walk.

Galway Travel Guide - Ireland Travel Vlog 2019
Galway City walking tour in Galway Ireland. Galway is a larger town than most expect and parking can be difficult. Once you get into the city center to do your Galway walking tour you'll be met with cute shops and lots of tourists taking pictures of the Irish city.
You probably don't need more than 72 hours in Galway City as there isn't that much to do other than walk around and eat or shop. The best way to do it is to see Galway on foot because traffic is terrible in the city.
We hope you enjoyed this Glaway Ireland tour!

Transcript:
On this episode of Traveling with Krushworth
My first stop is Galway, County Galway
Before adventuring into the countryside.
Travel with me and walk the streets of this Irish-speaking city.
Immerse yourself in the music and culture
On a stroll through the Latin Quarter. Don’t miss the historic King’s Head Pub.
Sit for a while in Eyre Square, walk through the Spanish Arch
A part of the medieval system of walls, or cast a line into the River Corrib,
I’m in the medieval city of Galway
And as you can see, I’m walking down the heart of the centre itself.
There’s pubs, there’s buskers, there’s music everywhere.
There’s someone just setting up here.
It is an amazing place, but as I’m walking around
And showing you some of the things to see,
I hope you have a great time Traveling with Krushworth
Alright, thanks again and see you soon.
A city of faith both new and old, Galway has an ages-old medieval past.
The church of St. Nicholas, a saint revered by mariners
Was visited by Christopher Columbus in 1477.
Reflect upon the past, but the city truly lights up
When a favourite rugby team wins big.
So if you couldn’t tell, it’s Sunday and I found the weekend market.
Which takes place throughout in the summer time.
There’s food, there’s art vendors
It is quite the sight and it stretches on for quite a long ways.
Alright I’ll continue on. See you later.
Spend time at Salthill's oceanside promenades and then bid farewell to Galway.
Venture into the alien Burren region, a landscape inhabited
By early people for thousands of years.
The Burren in County Clare is an alien-like landscape
Known for its ancient inhabitants who scratched out their existence upon the rocks.
The Neolithic portal tomb at Poulnabrone stitches together a tapestry
Of Ireland’s first farmers, a society with archaic, but telling death rituals.
Upon your visit to medieval Kilfenora, it’s easy to see why
Travelers are enthralled with the religious high crosses.
Gaze at the Doorty Cross and marvel at the 12th century cathedral ruins.
Alright, well it was a long trip by bus
because of course, I can’t apparate like Dumbledore and Harry Potter did.
But if you guys are fans of Half Blood Prince, this was
One of the locations in the film for Voldemort’s Horcrux,
You know, the scene in the cave
But I’ll show you more as I’m walking around
See you later.
Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands
Continues to offer visitors a quintessential Irish experience
As soon as the ferry lands at the pier.
Before the adventure begins, travelers should
Explore quaint, picturesque Kilronan town.
For those who want to further connect with this ages-old landscape,
Rent a bicycle from the shop near the ferry dock before
Setting out for the island’s treasured hill fort, Dun Anghosa.
Populated since 3,000 BCE, the Aran Islands are a world of Stone Age forts
Wedge tombs, early Christian religious sites
And a land of storied tradition and immense heritage.
Climb the rocky hill to Dun Aonghosa, a stone fort originally built in 1,100 BCE.
Walk through the gates, and carefully stand, or crawl
To what the ancients saw as the world’s edge.
Perched precariously on this bleak outcropping overlooking the Atlantic Ocean
This must-see hill fort is a reminder of a turbulent past,
But also of a people who built an engineering marvel.

Walking Tours of Galway - Claddagh Thatched Cottage, Galway, Ireland.
The first thatched cottage built in the Claddagh village, Galway in nearly a hundred years. Katies Cottage, part of the Claddagh Craft Village, will open to the public in April 2016. Built and roofed in the same way the Claddagh fishermen used to do in the 18th and 19th centuries, using local materials Rye, Wheat and Hazel and Ash, this cottage will become a magnet for tourism in Galway. When giving 'Walking Tours of Galway' I love to bring visitors to see the Claddagh, as well as the Spanish Arch, the Latin Quarter, Lynch's Castle, St. Nicholas Collegiate Church, Galway Cathedral, Salthill, the Corrib river, the Salmon Weir, Eyre Square, and Woodquay. I visit great pubs, especially O'Connors Pub in Salthill, O'Connells Bar in Eyre Square, Garavans, the Quays, The Dail, Sonny Molloys, Tigh Coili, Tigh Foxes, Taffes, the Crane, and Monroes. Galway is a beautiful city to visit anytime of the year and it is the gateway to Connemara and the Aran Islands. Be sure to look me up, Brian Nolan, Galway Walks, Walking Tours of Galway, Fireside Tours, Ghost Tours, Literary Tours, Folklore, Genealogy and tracing your roots. Our ancestors have lived in Ireland, and around Galway Bay for thousands of years, let me show you where and how they lived. Book a tour today.
