Walking in GDANSK / Poland - Around the Old Town - 4K 60fps (UHD)
The old port city of Gdańsk (German: Danzig) is one of the most beautiful cities in Poland and part of the Tri-City area with Gdynia and Sopot.
We start the walk at the Golden Gate (Złota Brama) and walk down to the Town Hall and Neptun fountain. Then we cross over to the Wyspa Spichrzów - one of the island here and walk back to Old Town along the Philharmonic Hall on Ołowianka.
Some side streets and the churches we have time even for short stroll through the market hall.
Note: the microphone battery went out in end, so it's just the Osmo Pocket sound for the final 5 minutes.

Walking in GDANSK / Poland ????????- Evening Tour in Fall - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Gdańsk (German: Danzig) at the Baltic coast of Poland is a popular tourist city of the tricity area of (Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia).
We walked here before in Gdansk: Sopot: and Gdynia coming soon.
On this evening we start at the Gdansk train station from where we head towards the old town. While it is getting darker now we check the Hala Targowa - the market hall. In the old town next we see the many amber shops and pass the crane before heading over to the Ołowianka island.
We continue to the Town Hall and get back to the old town. There we see th efamous Neptun fountain with the town hall nearby. We are walking on the Royal Way and end this tour at the Golden Gate (Złota Brama).
Due to the darkness or too close focus(?) this video appears a bit blurry in 4K. Still a nice city and evening in fall that I hope you enjoy.

SUBSCRIBE: - A walking tour of the historic (and very beautiful) city of Gdańsk, Poland .
Gdańsk (Danzig in German) is a port city on the Baltic coast of Poland. At the center of its Main Town, reconstructed after WWII, are the colorful facades of Long Market, now home to shops and restaurants. Nearby is Neptune Fountain, a 17th-century symbol of the city topped by a bronze statue of the sea god. Gdańsk is also a center for the world’s amber trade; boutiques throughout the city sell the ossified resin.
Poland is the sixth most populous member state of the European Union. Poland's capital and largest metropolis is Warsaw. Other major cities include Kraków, Łódź, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, and Szczecin. Poland is bordered by the Baltic Sea, Lithuania, and Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast to the north, Belarus and Ukraine to the east, Slovakia and the Czech Republic to the south, and Germany to the west.

10 Things to do in Gdańsk, Poland Travel Guide
Join us as we visit Gdańsk, Poland in this travel guide exploring the top attractions and best things to do in Gdansk (Danzig). As the final and northernmost destination we visit during our time in Poland this port city is one of the coolest places we've visited on this particular trip through Europe. From cobbled streets to posh museums to river cruises you'll find something for everyone here. One thing we noticed was that it was considerably more expensive in terms of accommodations and food compared with other Polish cities we've visited; however, it has charms that more than make up for it.

Gdańsk alternate spellings (German: Danzig - Latin: Gedania)
Our visit Gdańsk travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide, top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting castles, churches and museums. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical Gdańsk tourism brochure, Gdańsk itinerary or Gdańsk, Poland city tour.
10 Things to do in Gdańsk, Poland Travel Guide script:
After visiting the Basilica, we walked over to the main pedestrian street in Gdansk: Dluga, also known as Long Street. Unlike most Polish cities, Gdansk doesn’t have a main square, but this stretch of road acts as the equivalent with lots of vendors and performers along the way.
On the west end of Dluga (Dooga) we came across the Amber Museum, which sounded a little unusual, so we bought tickets and went up. Here we learned the history of Amber trade in the Baltic, and we also discovered that the tower that now houses the museum, was once a prison and torture chamber.
Not done with museums just yet, our next stop was the Historical Museum of the City of Gdansk. I think we spent more time staring at the ornate doorways, ceilings and staircases, than we did at the exhibit itself!
Here, we also saw the Medieval Crane, which was first mentioned in texts in 1367, and was at one point the biggest working crane in the world.
Next, it was all aboard the SS Sołdek, a Polish coal and ore freighter which is now a ship-museum.
And since we’re on the topic of food, we need to show you a milk bar we really enjoyed.
On our last day in Gdansk, we walked over to the European Solidarity Centre, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the Old Town. The museum tells the story of Solidarity, a Polish trade union and civil resistance movement, founded in 1980 at the Lenin Shipyard. This was the first union not controlled by the communist party, and it’s a fascinating museum to learn a bit more about the history.
And that’s a wrap for our Gdansk travel guide. We hope you guys enjoyed this video and that it gave you a few ideas of things to do in Gdansk on you visit. You know the drill, if you have any other tips or suggestions to share with travellers, feel free to pop those in the comments section below. Happy travels and until next time!

Gdansk, Poland Old Town City tour
Certainly, one of Poland's most beautiful cities Gdansk sits majestically by the Baltic sea and due to its location it played a big role in World War II and suffered extensive damage due to the bombing.
Surprisingly you can barely notice this as the city rebuild it's historic centre very well.
Going to Gdansk by train
We were staying in Sopot a beach town close by so we decided to take the train to Gdansk and it was a short cheap at around €1 and pleasant ride, a great start to the day. The tri-cities ( Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia) are well connected by train and Bus so you will find it easy to travel between them.
Arriving in Gdansk
The city is quite big, touristic and crowded, and you notice it the moment you leave the train, we were visiting in August and even worst during some sort of festivities, probably the worst time of the year to visit, and we felt it was too much at times, even our usual alternatives like going to smaller less touristic streets didn't work much.
Even so, it's easy to see the appeal of the city, it's without a doubt one of the nicest old towns in Europe with bright colours mixed with old tiled building a feast to the eyes.
It's very easy to navigate and stroll around appreciating the architecture.
Is Gdansk Safe?
Yes, we would say so, at no point did we feel insecure visiting with our 3-year-old son. The only downside is that with the number of people in some parts of the old town just like in any large city you should be aware of pickpocketers. Also during our first hours we kind of lost Lukas and his Grandfather as they wandered off for just a few minutes, with the number of people everywhere it's next to impossible to see anyone so for about 15 minutes we were in a bit of a parents panic attack.
Things to do in Gdansk Poland?
Well visiting the old town is surely the first on the list, it's just breathtaking, so be sure to see Dluga Street, Mariacka Street and Motlawa River Embankment.
If you like history visiting the Museum of the II Worl War
Oliwa Cathedral
St Mary's Church
St. Nicholas Church
The Chrane, Zuraw
Neptune's Fountain
Ambersky, scenic circle (even though it's a bit expensive)
Great armoury an amazing building
Train Station
Going by ferry
When it was time to head back to Sopot we decided to take the ferry and see Gdansk and Sopot by sea and it was also worth it, a different experience and an enjoyable relaxing way to travel, even if the weather didn't collaborate much.
A Tourist's Guide to Gdansk, Poland
We fly into this gorgeous Polish city for a winter city break. We wander the old town, seeing the sights and experiencing what this great place has to offer.

The free-est walking tour of Gdansk: Gdamn this city is sweet
A free walking tour is something almost every major tourist-y city has to offer. A local guide usually brings a small tour group around and explains the sights and the history behind them with their knowledge. A free-est walking tour is when I do it with a very limited knowledge of where I even am, and half-ass it in the process.
I spent two nights in Gdansk, Poland and fell in love with the city. Luckily I was able to film enough with 55% battery on my last day there before heading to the airport and luckily, as well, that the weather cooperated.
