Camel Safari In Jaisalmer-INDIA Tourism Travel Guide
Camel Safari in the desert and in the middle of a sandstorm!
We took a camel safari tour in Jaisalmer-India. We got to go in a jeep to the desert and after that we met up with the camels and our guide, we set off in to the desert.
After the camel ride we got some freetime on the sand dunes before some snacks and dinner was served. After dinner we saw the sunset and went by the campfire to just relax before sleeping.
But after 1h outside it started raining and the wind picked up fast! Tent went up and we moved inside to not get wet and get sand everywhere. We were in a sandstorm! Fun trip but it was enugh with one night and two days;)

Jaisalmer City Guide | India Travel Video in Rajasthan
Join us as we visit Jaisalmer in this city travel guide covering the best things to do and top attractions in the 'Golden City' of Rajasthan, India. Located nearby the Pakistan border and at the doorsteps of the Thar Desert 'The Great Indian Desert' this small sized jewel of a city is a welcome change for those arriving from bustling Delhi, Jodhpur or Jaipur. Jaisalmer Fort is one of the most amazing places I've ever visited in India. As a living fort you'll find a plethora of shops selling souvenirs, restaurants, hotels and Jain temples. You can get lost meandering down narrow alleys and enjoy the best views of the city along the edges of the walls or by having rooftop tea or dinner. You'll also want to budget time to visit the Thar Desert on a camel safari ride where you'll pass by gypsy villages and enjoy local cuisine and tea prepared over a fire. Come find out why Jaisalmer (जैसलमेर) is one of our favorite cities in Rajasthan, India.
Things to do in Jaisalmer Travel Guide:
1) Jaisalmer Fort (जैसलमेर फोर्ट) to shop for souvenirs and wandering around
2) Visiting a Jain Temple in the Thar Desert)
3) Thar Desert (लाइक,कमेंट व सब्सक्राइब करे) experiencing the culture, food and gypsy villages
4) Camel Safari ride in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India visiting the Sam Sand Dunes (1 day, 3 day and week long options)

Jaisalmer City Guide | India Travel Video in Rajasthan Transcript:
After an 18 hour overnight train ride from Delhi, we finally reached Jaisalmer, a city of yellow sandstone that lies in the middle of the Thar Desert. This proved to be my favourite stop of our month long adventure in India; now let me take you on a tour and show you why.
With so much colour all around us, it wasn’t long before we were lured into a shop and found ourselves picking out souvenirs in the form of wall hangings, pillow cases, and a small painting or two. Our luggage gained an extra couple of pounds in this city alone.
But it wasn’t all shopping in Jaisalmer. We also made time to do a bit of sightseeing inside the fort, and one of the main attractions here are the Jain Temples.
Another thing we’d recommend doing in Jaisalmer is having dinner on a rooftop restaurant while the sun sets. There are plenty of restaurants scattered across the city and the views you get as the sun goes down are amazing. We chose one at random and it included a live music performance.
The following day was all about visiting the Thar Desert on an afternoon camel trek. It was a nice change of pace from the city, and we got to enjoy a traditional meal cooked over a campfire.
The next morning we went back to the fort because we just couldn’t stay away. I visited the Jaisalmer Fort Palace Museum & Heritage Center, while Sam and his mom picked up a few additional gifts for family back home.
This is part of our Travel in India video series showcasing Indian food, Indian culture and Indian cuisine.

JAISALMER, INDIA'S GOLDEN DESERT CITY ????????
Jaisalmer, India and Rajasthan's tranquil golden city, lies idle on the verges of the Thar desert. In this vlog, I explore the narrow streets of Jaisalmer's living fort, a combination of incredible views, temples, palaces, shops and local people. I then walk around the lanes and havelis outside the fort, encountering an Indian wedding, before finally taking a trip up Vyas Chhatri, for a spectacular sunset over the distant horizon.

Too see the golden city you would need no more than two days but you could see it in 1 day too It's a small city, but if you are there we reccomend you to go on one of the rooftop bars and look at the view from the top of the fort it looks beautiful both sunset and sunrise when the city looks more golden!
Do you want to see the dessert close up and sleep under the stars you can go on a famous camel tour that starts from this city. The dessert trip is the best experience from this place and is in another video that we have made.

Jaisalmer City Guide, Jaisalmer City Travel Guide, Jaisalmer City Travel
Jaisalmer city guide, Jaisalmer City Travel Guide, Jaisalmer City Travel video is all about Jaisalmer City in Rajasthan, India, and its surrounding areas that are worth visiting. Jaisalmer is well described as Golden City owing to the yellow sand stone used in constructions of the fort and the buildings inside and outside the fort. Jaisalmer fort is the main attraction for a tourist visiting Jaisalmer besides other places that are worth visiting located nearby Jaisalmer. When in Jaisalmer one can dream of being at Alladins dream world.
Jaisalmer fort is a living fort where approximately 8000 people live inside. Visiting fort is a unique experience to walk through the narrow streets and watch the daily life of people living inside the fort. There is more inside the fort to see such as Haveli's, King and Queens fort, Jain Temples, miniature Art, Artefacts, colourful dresses, traditional Rajasthani Paghadi (Head Gear), Chatris. As a memoir one must purchase T Shirts that showcasing a Rajasthani man with moustache and paghadi & camel.
For Architect lovers this fort is a paradise as one can see the intricate workmanship made out of red stones.
It is worth exploring outside of Jaisalmer where you can see Bada Bag (Big Garden). There are cenotaphs for the Rulers, princes and other family members of the rulers in their memory to be remembered for the rest of life.
Gadisar Lake - It was constructed in 14th century by King MahaRawal Gadsi Singh during water shortage for Jaisalmer to provide drinking water to Jaisalmer. It has now become a top tourist attraction.
Sam Sand Dunes where one can enjoy camel ride, Jeep safari and the sunset.
Kuldhara Village-Deserted village near Jaisalmer wherein the entire community vanished overnight. There is a story behind this deserted village and one must go to see and read its history.
Little further towards the Indo Pak border a visit to Longewala post where 1971 war between India Pakistan was fought. With merely a 120 soldiers of Punjab Regiment fought the strong 2000 Pakistani soldiers and the Pakistani soldiers had to flee leaving behind their 38 tanks and trucks in which they came to defeat and capture certain parts of India. The tanks and the trucks are displayed at the Longewala Post and the Longewala museum. More history on the 1971 Indo Pak war can be seen at the Longewala museum near Jaisalmer.
Photographers and Videographers must visit Jaisalmer and the surrounding areas to add to their collection.
Rajasthani food is unique and different compared to other Indian food. The world famous Dal Batti of Rajasthan is a must to taste when in Jaisalmer or other parts of Rajasthan.
The best time to visit Jaisalmer is between August and February but it can work out expensive during this periods owing to heavy tourist rush. During Diwali time it can become too much busy by the local Indian people who tend to visit with their family.

Things to See in Jaisalmer | City Guide | Rajasthan Tourism | Travel to India
Jaisalmer tourism has been booming in past few years, and this video is going to be about the things to do in jaisalmer.
If you haven't seen the Jodhpur Vlog yet, check it out here -
So Jodhpur to Jaisalmer is a 4-5 hour journey by road and on the way there are a couple of places to see. We made a stop at Khichan Bird Sanctuary to see the European cranes migrating during winters.
In the Jaisalmer city - the Golden city, Fort is definitely the highlight and dominating all skylines. There are yellow sandstone structure all around. Jaisalmer is a very colorful city and the fort is residential. Local line up during the day to sell local Rajasthani crafts and dresses and jewelry.
On day 2, we headed to the Sam dunes for desert safari and Jeep safari. We were staying at the Prince Desert camp - in the evening they had cultural program with rajasthani food arrangements.
This is definitely one city i can keep going back to. I am in love with this place, especially walking around the lanes in Jaisalmer fort. Everyone coming down to travel India from outside the country definitely need to check this place out :)

Jaisalmer Street Walk
A walk along the main street in Jaisalmer away from the fort. Sorry for the shakiness, but most people in this city don't enjoy having their video taken so I had to be rather sneaky about it.
