Walking in KRAKOW / Poland - A windy winter day - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Krakow is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Poland.
Today we walk in this beautiful city and see the main square with the The Cloth Hall first. Then we head towards the Wawel Royal Castle and after that also walk around in Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter. We had back to Old Town and finally go the the main station where we end this walk of 1½ hours.
Krakow during the winter is quieter and still has a lot of charm in the cold. No talking, just walking here as this isn't the vlog version of this video. I hope you enjoy. Please give comments and suggestions of cities you'd like to see in such walking video next.

BEST Way To See Kraków, POLAND!
For the first time ever we decided to go on a walking tour! Walkative Tours are quite popular in Poland and we had a great experience on two of their tours: Old Krakow Town & The Jewish District. They each went for more than two and a half hours (get your walking shoes on!) and they were both filled with so much information - needless to say we are now convinced that seeing a new city with a local guide is the way to go!
With ‘free’ walking tours they normally ask for a small tip at the end, you basically pay them what you think the tour was worth. Its also a great way to ask a local for tips on places to eat and things to do once the tour has finished.

Kraków:
Kraków also Cracow or Krakow is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Situated on the Vistula River (Polish: Wisła) in the Lesser Poland region, the city dates back to the 7th century. Kraków has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Polish academic, cultural, and artistic life and is one of Poland's most important economic hubs. It was the capital of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland from 1038 to 1569; the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth from 1569 to 1795; the Free City of Kraków from 1815 to 1846; the Grand Duchy of Cracow from 1846 to 1918; and Kraków Voivodeship from the 14th century to 1998. It has been the capital of Lesser Poland Voivodeship since 1999.
The city has grown from a Stone Age settlement to Poland's second most important city. It began as a hamlet on Wawel Hill and was already being reported as a busy trading centre of Slavonic Europe in 965. With the establishment of new universities and cultural venues at the emergence of the Second Polish Republic in 1918 and throughout the 20th century, Kraków reaffirmed its role as a major national academic and artistic centre. The city has a population of approximately 760,000, with approximately 8 million additional people living within a 100 km (62 mi) radius of its main square.
After the invasion of Poland at the start of World War II, Kraków became the capital of Germany's General Government. The Jewish population of the city was forced into a walled zone known as the Kraków Ghetto, from which they were sent to German extermination camps such as the nearby Auschwitz never to return, and the Nazi concentration camps like Płaszów.
In 1978, Karol Wojtyła, archbishop of Kraków, was elevated to the papacy as Pope John Paul II — the first Slavic pope ever, and the first non-Italian pope in 455 years. Also that year, UNESCO approved the first ever sites for its new World Heritage List, including the entire Old Town in inscribing Cracow's Historic Centre. Kraków is classified as a global city by GaWC, with the ranking of High sufficiency. Cited as one of Europe's most beautiful cities, its extensive cultural heritage across the epochs of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture includes the Wawel Cathedral and the Royal Castle on the banks of the Vistula river, the St. Mary's Basilica and the largest medieval market square in Europe, the Rynek Główny. Kraków is home to Jagiellonian University, one of the oldest universities in the world and traditionally Poland's most reputable institution of higher learning.
In 2000, Kraków was named European Capital of Culture. The city will also host the next World Youth Day in 2016.Wikipedia

Kraków (Polish pronunciation: [ˈkrakuf] ( listen)) also Cracow, or Krakow (US English /ˈkrækaʊ/, British English /ˈkrækɒv/) is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Krakow, Poland old town free walking tour | vlog #2
Edited essentially everything while waiting for a missed bus in Belgrade (week 2 into the trip), then final cut crashed and I thought I lost all edits (was down to the last 10s!!!) till today. A wonderful WeeKimWee stud helped me out and it finally got edited (almost 2months later, into the 5th week of classes in Turkey haha).
This vlog is nostalgic as the edit was recovered in Taksim today, the very same area I stayed the night (in the beginning of the video) before moving to Poland 3 months ago. Made it into the beautiful Old Town of Krakow and got a first peek into the square that I came back to quite a lot after. It's the beginning of 20+ days of adventure sprinkled with bits of company throughout! Can't wait to look through the rest of the days, where worries were where I was gonna sleep that night, instead of whether I'm gonna pass my classes :')

20 Things to do in Kraków, Poland Travel Guide video transcript:
We kicked off this trip to Poland with a visit to Krakow, a city people have been telling us to visit for years and now we know why. Krakow in the summertime was wonderful! We spent our time enjoying castle views from the river side, exploring neighbourhoods covered in street art, eating some of the best pierogie of our lives, and also discovering what we think may be the best ice cream. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Krakow!
Wawel Castle is Krakow's crowning jewel, and for centuries it was the residence of the kings of Poland. You can see a mix of Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture all in one place.
While in the city, we also had to walk the Royal Route, which was once the historic coronation path of Polish kings.
After visiting the basilica, we spent a bit of time walking the Main Square, which just so happens to be Europe's largest medieval town square.
And that’s it for our visit to Krakow! We hope this video gave you a few ideas of things to do around the city. If you have any other places to add to this list or any tips for fellow travellers visiting Krakow feel free to share those.
This is part of our Travel in Poland video series showcasing Polish food, Polish culture, Polish cuisine while visiting Kraków Polska.

Jewish Walking Tour in Kraków, Poland
We climbed up a clocktower and then took a free walking tour of the Jewish Quarter in Kraków. Kraków is an amazing city for history, and the tour did not disappoint. We learned about what it was like to be Jewish during World War II in Kraków, and learned some of the city's sad secrets.
