Dozza, Italy Flyover
Today's flight comes from a small town in the north of Italy called Dozza. Dozza is located about 40 km (25 miles) southeast of Bologna and is known for the wonderful murals painted on the walls of the buildings as well as the Sforza Castle. Our italian family took us there this afternoon to explore a bit, so I obviously took the opportunity to go for a flight. I'm still learning to fly this thing, but enjoying it all the same.

Six people dead, dozen injured following stampede at rapper's concert
(8 Dec 2018) SIX PEOPLE DEAD, DOZENS INJURED FOLLOWING STAMPEDE BEFORE CONCERT
Italian authorities were on Saturday investigating a deadly night club stampede in a city on Italy's central Adriatic coast.
The tragedy killed five young teenagers and a woman who had accompanied her daughter to the event early Saturday, said police, who put the number of injured at 59.
It occurred in the town of Corinaldo, near Ancona, just before a concert by Italian singer Sfera Ebbasta around 1 a.m. local time (0000 GMT Saturday).
Ancona Prosecutor Monica Garulli said they were looking into the various permits the disco has, whether safety inspections had been carried out and whether the rules were being respected.
According to witnesses, one of the people attending the event sprayed an irritant inside one of the two rooms of the disco, provoking panic, with people scrambling for the exit.
Some of the teenagers rushed outside from a disco door and surging toward a low railing or wall near the exit. The barrier collapsed, and a cascade of teenagers tumbled over it, falling on top of each other.
Overcrowding was also suspected but not confirmed by the prosecutor nor by the police chief of Ancona.
State radio said about 1,000 people were inside the disco when the stampede erupted.
Ancona Police Chief Oreste Capocasa said the dead teenagers were three girls and two boys.
It's the first time in 35 years that I've seen anything like this, Capocasa said.
At the Vatican, Pope Francis bowed his head in silent prayer after he told some 30,000 pilgrims and tourists in St. Peter's Square that he was praying for the young people and the mamma as well as for the many injured.

✍ Milan -- Italian police have arrested six men on manslaughter charges for allegedly using pepper spray to carry out thefts at a concert for teens, triggering a stampede that killed six people last year. Authorities announced the arrests Saturday, nearly eight months after a rap concert for teens near Adriatic coastal city of Ancona ended in tragedy on Dec. 8. The six, all men ages 19-22, were part of a gang based in the northern city of Modena that hit nightclubs in northern and central Italy with the aim of robbing unsuspecting club-goers. They are under investigation for manslaughter and for causing injury to 197 others. Survivors said panic spread after the pepper spray was unleashed. The victims were five teens, ages 14-16, and a 39-year-old mother who had accompanied her daughter. Video at the time showed scores of teenagers rushing out of a door and surging toward a low wall near an exit of the Lanterna Azzurra (Blue Lantern) disco in the central Italian town of Corinaldo, ne ...

No, di tante Paperissime.

Italy nightclub stampede victims in hospital
(8 Dec 2018) A stampede at a rap concert in an overcrowded disco in central Italy killed five young teenagers and a woman who had accompanied her daughter to the event early Saturday, police said, adding that 59 people were injured.
Many of the wounded were being treated in Ancona's main hospital. The bodies of the six people who died were also brought to the same hospital.
Doctors said the most critically injured, all aged between 14 and 20, had suffered cranial and chest trauma, while others suffered injury to limbs.
State radio said most of the fatalities had suffered crushed skulls.
Speaking to the press outside the hospital, the President of Marche region, Luca Ceriscioli said, It's a tragedy that is affecting the whole region, with friends and families coming together to support those affected.
The incident took place in Corinaldo, a city on the Adriatic coast early Saturday at a rap concert in an overcrowded disco.
Video broadcast on state TV RaiNews24 showed scores of teenagers rushing out of a door and surging toward a low railing or wall near the exit of the Lanterna Azzurra (Blue Lantern) night club.
The barrier then appeared to give way, and a cascade of teenagers tumbled over it, falling on top of each other.
Overcrowding was also suspected at the venue, where rapper Sfera Ebbasta, who is very popular with young teenagers, was set to perform.
Italian news agency ANSA earlier had reported that someone had sprayed an irritant, which triggered the panic.
Italian high schools are usually open on Saturdays, but schools were closed this weekend for the Dec. 8 national holiday of the Immaculate Conception.
That could have made it more likely that young teenagers were at the disco in the wee hours.

PARIS IN LOCKDOWN YELLOW VEST MOVEMENT .- 1400 ARRESTED!!
CORINALDO, Italy (AP) - Teenagers panicked before a rap concert at a jammed Italian disco, setting off a stampede that killed five of them and a mother who had brought her daughter to the event, authorities and survivors said. Fifty-three people were reported injured, including 13 in very serious condition.
Several survivors said panic spread through the late-night crowd after someone unleashed an irritant spray. Investigators said they were checking those reports.
Video on state TV RaiNews24 showed scores of teenagers rushing out a door and surging toward a low wall near an exit at the Blue Lantern disco in the central Italian town of Corinaldo, near Ancona on the Adriatic coast. The barrier then gives way and a cascade of teenagers tumble over it, falling on top of each other.
The bodies of the trampled victims were all found near a low wall, Ancona Firefighters Cmdr. Dino Poggiali told Sky TG24 News. State radio said most of the dead had their skulls crushed in the melee.
The victims - three girls and two boys - ranged in age from 14 to 16 and the mother who was killed was 39, said Col. Cristian Carrozza, commander of the Ancona province Carabinieri paramilitary police.
Close down the place, convict someone. Who's going to give me back my son? Giuseppe Orlandi, fighting back tears, told reporters after he had identified the body of his son, Mattia, 15, in a hospital morgue.
The stampede occurred shortly after 1 a.m., less than 30 minutes before the concert by Italian rapper Sfera Ebbasta was to begin.
Authorities said organizers had sold far too many tickets for the space. Ancona Chief Prosecutor Monica Garulli told reporters that about 1,400 tickets were sold but the disco was only able to hold about 870 people.
Later, Premier Giuseppe Conte, who visited the scene, said the disco had three rooms but inexplicably only used one for the concert, and it only holds 469 people.
While prosecutors investigate the government must ask itself what to so that such tragedies must never happen again, Conte said.
The woman who was killed, Eleanora Girolimini, had four children and had accompanied her 11-year-old daughter to the concert, her husband, Paolo, told reporters. The girl was treated for a knee injury.
Outside the hospital where the bodies were brought, he lashed out at the event's organizers, saying that many at the event were drunk.
Four children now are without their mother, and one of them is still nursing, he said. It was way overcrowded and alcohol abounded.
ANSA said hospital doctors treating the injured said some survivors had burns apparently caused by an irritant spray.
An 18-year-old survivor, who left the hospital in a wheelchair due to a leg injury, was asked by RAINew24 about the spray. She replied that whatever it was, it left her and others unable to breathe, and people started to panic and flee.
Doctors at Ancona's main hospital said the most critically injured from the concert, all between 14 and 20 years old, suffered cranial and chest traumas, while others had arm or leg injuries.
Sfera Ebbasta wrote on Twitter that he was deeply pained by the tragedy, thanked rescuers and offered his affection and support to the families of the dead and the injured. Out of respect to them, he cancelled some promotional appearances.
The rapper added he wanted everyone to to stop and think how dangerous and stupid it is to use pepper spray in a discotheque.
Italian high schools, which are usually open on Saturdays, were closed this weekend for the Dec. 8 national holiday, which made it more likely for teenagers to attend such a late concert.
Fire commander Poggiali said it was too early in the investigation to know if any safety violations at the site might have played a role in the tragedy. He said when rescue workers arrived, all the doors to the disco were open.
Interior Minister Matteo Salvini vowed that responsibility would be determined for six broken lives - whoever out of nastiness, stupidity or greed transformed an evening of partying into tragedy.
Italian President Sergio Mattarella demanded a full investigation.
Citizens have the right to safety wherever they are, in workplaces as well as places of entertainment, Mattarella said.
At the Vatican, Pope Francis bowed his head in silent prayer after he told 30,000 pilgrims and tourists in St. Peter's Square that he was praying for the young people and the mamma as well as for the many injured at the concert.
