17. Teo Torriatte (Queen In Tokorozawa: 3/11/1982) [Pro Audio]
Hey everyone, I'm glad to be back and today I've got a bit of a different upload for you all!
This is the final show of the Hot Space Tour and of the Japanese leg of the tour and Freddie's voice is very unstable throughout but does surprisingly well on *some* songs!
This is the only soundboard audio available which comes from the VHS release Queen Live At Japan 1982. There are surprisingly no overdubs at all, the only altered part of the entire gig is during WATC where Freddie's mic is lowered in the mic to obscure a horrible crack! Only 60 mins of the concert video-wise has surfaced, most likely due to Freddie's voice giving out and cracking on several bad occasions, such as on Play The Game and Body Language!
First song of the night is the final performances of Flash and The Hero both of which are generally great but Freddie cracks badly on end of story! Next is the fast We Will Rock You which is overall descent! Following is Action This Day which is again fairly descent, next is Calling All Girls which again is quite good considering what kind of gig this is! Now I'm Here is great but Freddie cracks a few times during it, specifically before the second verse and on Go Johnny! What follows is the best and final performance of Put Out The Fire Freddie sustains the notes well and doesn't crack! Dragon Attack is fairly descent and the NIH reprise is good with Freddie shouting blood out your ass?!? Can someone maybe conform that? lol Love Of My Life is a great version especially with the audience enthusiastically singing along! Save Me the last performance of the song is great with Freddie sustaining the notes well! Next is a very daring version of Under Pressure with Freddie sustaining and nailing the higher and why parts, very surprising! Next is a fantastic version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love with an amazing instrumental solo from everyone, especially Fred Mandel on the piano. Next is Bohemian Rhapsody which has Freddie cracking several times throughout, not a great version and what follows is Tie Your Mother Down which again has Freddie cracking all over the place! Teo Torriatte is next which is a descent last performance but again Freddie's voice is now really showing it's wear and tear of touring for over 7 months, We Will Rock You is fairly descent with Freddie embellishing face on the second verse. Finally We Are The Champions which is a very interesting version, Freddie starts off great but after the second verse things go downhill very quickly, Freddie has one of the most interesting cracks in his live career happen on fighting, so much so his voice is brought down in the final mix!
I hope you all enjoy!

This is the 7th show in a row on the Japanese leg of the Jazz Tour, and Freddie's voice is done for, he tries his absolute best though and that's the best
