Golf Course Art by George Pichl
George Pichl has created several 'landscape sculptures' for Shelter Valley Pines Golf Course near Grafton, Ontario. Working closely with the owner and course designer, Pichl imagined and created a number of pieces that have both functional as well as aesthetic appeal. The whole point was to integrate the sculptures into the design of the course, says Pichl. The result is a fanciful display of sculptures that capture the imagination of golfers as they play through the course. For more info visit

Lucre
Lucre had the most amazing spirit and unique personality, he was a friend and protector of many and a foe to a few. Lucre led a wild life living in many different locations including Moose Dear Point on Georgian Bay, North Bay, Sundridge, Barrie, Timmins and finally Bonfield. Lucre spent the majority of his life free to roam without a collar or a fence, if you wanted to take him for a walk you were out of luck because he wasn't leaving the property unless it was a hike in the woods with Kim. Lucre once stopped a B&E sending the criminal running at top speed away from the house, Lucre treed more than one bear while in Timmins including two cubs and then proceeded to chase the mother bear out of the yard. Lucre visited and camped in Temagami, swam in the massive Lake Huron waves in Sarnia & Georgian Bay, Ran the Rapids of a river in Collingwood, Became a swamp donkey in the Amble Du Fond on the way into Algonquin Park and even went by float plane to remote northern lakes near Folyet. Lucre enjoyed the beach in Sundridge on Lake Bernard more than anything and was always ready for a game of stick in the lake. Wana goto the beach? Were his favorite words. Lucre loved to go for rides in the truck or car and always had an eye for the next transport coming or person in the car beside who decided to make eye contact with him.. GRRRRR!, Lucre loved to ride on or chase our snowmobiles, I have a few teeth marks in my ski handles to prove it as well as few on our snowboards. Lucre loved playing with leaves, gnawing down saplings and mutilating logs he also enjoyed hockey and golf and would bring a golf ball back from 150 yards in the woods over and over. Lucre was the inspiration for my youtube channel Lucrestyle Productions and his spirit lives on in each adventure filled, adrenalin packed video I produce. Some say Lucre had many personalities, we knew two of them: outside Lucre who was a wild beast ready for anything, and inside Lucre who was gentle, loving, quiet and a seeker of morning kisses and hugs with anyone who would take them. His love was shared with many people including my Mom and Dad who were always happy to have him stay. I owe a lot to Lucre, he has been a 'ground' for me and a 'forced' responsibility through my 20's, he guided many of my life decisions and I am where I am today because of him. Kim, I and Lucre were our own family and through his life we together proved that our love was meant to be. I am proud to say that we gave Lucre an amazing life full of love, exercise and freedom. My final wish to celebrate his life is for each of you who knew him to place a comment below captioning your favorite memory of him. RIP buddy 05/22/2005 to 11/18/2013 -- Love Jeff and Kim.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.
