Australia - WA - Warren National Park in the rain
More musings from the rain filled Warren National Park. Rain was a real novelty as this point.
Yeagarup Sand Dunes to Warren Beach 4WD Track, D’Entrecasteaux National Park, Pemberton WA
This track is in the D’Entrecasteaux National Park and starts at Leaning Marri campsite near Yeagarup Lake . The Lake is the ‘Gateway’ to the vast mobile sand dunes which stretch along this coastline. The journey across the dunes is challenging yet rewarding, with breathtaking views and fantastic Warren beach and Warren river mouth.
The pristine Yeagarup sand dunes form one of the largest dune systems in the world. The drive across white sand on the top of the dunes is amazing.
Enjoy!

Pemberton & Warren National Park
D'Entrecasteaux National Park
Short weekend trip down to Pemberton, to checkout Calcup hill and warren river. Almost rolled the patrol fortunately we had the right gear and recovered the vehicle properly with no damage done.
Mouth of the Warren River, Yeagarup Beach
The Yeagarup Beach is a favourite fishing spot we are lucky to visit almost every day!
With fish heads spotted and the river mouth currently closed (25/03/2019) you have over 40km of beach to fish and 4WD.
Note this is not a racetrack, our fairy terns next in tracks and there are usually children running across the track back and from the beach to their camp - so drive safe!
You may also like to check out the Yeagarup Hut - the 4WD access only track between the Warren River and the Yeagarup Dunes. It is available to rent to groups and is fabulous for parties and families wanting a private place to camp.

360º Climbing a 75 Meter Tree with No Rope - Pemberton - Australia 4K
You can climb this 75 meter tree in Warren National Park, just outside of Pemberton in Western Australia. The view is amazing from the top as you feel like you're on top of a jungle. It's a scary experience as there's little safety between the pegs, but that's what makes it such a thrill.
Directions and information can be found here:
A series of fire lookouts were constructed in the top of a few very tall Karri trees, mainly during the 1930s and 1940s. These lookouts were a way of spotting fires in the tall Karri forest. There are three karri tree towers open to the public..
Today you can still climb some of these lookout trees and take in their view:
The tree we climbed in the video is the Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree in the Warren National Park. The Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree lookout was first pegged in 1988 as part of Australia’s bicentennial celebrations. At 75m above the ground, with 165 pegs to climb to the top, it's the tallest with a 360-degree view of old growth Karri forest.
------Technical Information ----
The Gopro cameras were setup in the non-waterproof freedom360 rig attached to a monopod mounted to tripod. They were also attached to a gopro helmet mount for climbing.

Land Cruisers Water Crossing - Fast Flowing Warren River *EPIC*
After weeks of rain, the Warren River down in the South West of WA was flowing higher and faster than usual. We arrived at the river crossing late in the afternoon and on investigation, everyone except two people elected to driver around to get the campsite.
Brendan went first with his 100 Series Land Cruiser and “successfully” made it across. Despite all indications that it was not a great idea, Raine was not going to back down. He decided to trudge his snorkel less, petrol 80 Series across the Warren River.
