North Georgia Vlog - Day 3 || Hiking Raven Cliff Falls!!
It's a short video today! This is the third vlog in my North Georgia series, and in today's video we hike up to Raven Cliff Falls!! The hike itself is relatively uneventful until you actually reach the falls - you can keep going up to the very top of the falls, but you're basically ascending at a 60 degree angle at that point... very dangerous in the muddy conditions we were hiking in. The views just from the base of the falls were absolutely stunning though!
We finished off the day with a tasting at Habersham Winery - where my husband had a port-like wine in a chocolate cup - and a quiet night staying in at the B&B. Don't miss the end of the video though... my husband rescues my ladybug friend from my glass of wine!! ????

Hiking Three Forks Trail - Clayton Georgia
A quick getaway to the mountains of North Georgia.
Right in the corner where North, Carolina, South Carolina, & Georgia all meet. A pretty mellow 2.5 mile trail leading to a very pretty cascading waterfall at the end. I cant wait till spring to check this trail out again.
All filmed with a GoPro Hero 4 Silver

Warwoman in Clayton Georgia- trail riding Sept 2010
Unbelievably beautiful scenery. We rode along the Warwoman Creek and also crossed the Chattooga Riverwhile we were there in Clayton for Labor Day weekend. We covered many miles and saw beautiful scenery of Georgia in the wild The trails not in the developed area are quite over grown as you can see in the videos but still easily accessed.

Holcomb Creek Falls, Georgia
Holcomb Creek Falls is located just east of Clayton, Georgia in the Warwoman Wildlife Management Area. This is near the infamous Chattooga River and is a fairly remote location. After traveling 6.5 miles on a one lane dirt road, it is about a 1/3 mile hike along steep terrain to the falls. Another 1/4 mile on the trail will bring you to Ammons Falls but I did not find it that interesting. Directions may be found at

Spoonauger Falls
This 50-foot falls, also known as Rock Cliff Falls, is set back into a hillside and surrounded by heavy vegetation as it rushes over a stepped rock face in a broad sheet. Fed by Spoonauger Creek, the falls is named for the Spoonauger family who lived at the top of the falls. This is one of the more popular waterfalls in this area because of the easy 20-minute hike and its camera-friendly appearance. During daylight hours, tiny bats tuck themselves into crevices in the rock face of the falls.

Chattooga River hike on the Bartram Trail in Georgia
Beautiful winter hike along the Chattooga River on the Bartram Trail in far Northeast Georgia southbound from GA-23 to Dick's Creek Falls. This is a pretty secluded, mostly unblazed trail so be sure to bring a map, compass and GPS navigation including good phone apps.
If you want privacy, you'll love this hike! I saw nobody during the 2 day trip.
