Bermuda Food Shopping Haul | Is Bermuda Expensive?
What sort of food can you buy in Bermuda?
Is food shipped from the UK or USA to Bermuda?
What does a weekly shop look like in Bermuda?
What is the cost of living and food in Bermuda?
Hopefully this video can answer a few of these questions. Bermuda is currently (2018) the most expensive place to live in the world and you will see this reflected in the cost of the food. If you don't know, I have been living in Bermuda for a year and a half with my husband and baby and we are absolutely loving life out here.
I have never videoed a food shopping haul before and unlike in the UK, where you can get most things in one shop, I do have to do my shopping in two separate shopping trips. This is just one of the changes about living on a small island. Not all shops can stock everything. I will definitely be videoing another food shopping haul at some point so let me know what else you would like to see.
Thank you to Windybank farm for letting me video and share their produce. If you live in Bermuda, I would definitely recommend you checking them out!

Bermuda Vacation 1967/68 ~ 2 Bases, The Gunpowder Cavern and a Drive Through Hamilton
Overlooking a water catch on Kindley Air Force Base a plane lands on the short runway on Castle Harbour then its on to the top of Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. Great views of the Great Sound and the Naval Operating Base and the NASA tracking station on Tudor Hill. Lots of open space in Southampton, the Southampton Princess Hotel has not been built yet.
A photo op in Flatts, current is moving fast and the Coral Island Hotel (now St. James Place condominiums).
A visit to the US Naval Station (N.O.B), the Headquarters building and a NATO squadron of US Navy ships are docked. Water skiing and a Kitson Cruise boat in the Little Sound.
A relatively new Carlton Beach Club and Sinky Bay (later Sonesta Beach, then a Wyndham, now demolished and now fortunately back to nature as the Hamilton Princess Beach Club).
A glimpse of the Castle Harbour Golf Course, then its a drive on Harbour Road, past the Inverurie Hotel (demolished), a Gardner with machete in danger of getting smushed trimming the hedge opposite Cedar Lodge and a dark drive through Crow Lane, the bus garage and up Reid Street.
Mobylettes parked on Front Street outside of The Penthouse restaurant then a drive past the Birdcage and Pitts Bay Road to Waterloo House (demolished). Cut to Queen Street, heavy traffic and no crash helmets. A pink bus is outside City Hall then its on to the US Kindley Field Air Force Base, past the guard and a stop at the parking lot in front of VP-45 Pelican House at the Navy Squadron barracks.
A stop outside the Gunpowder Cavern (Tavern) then on to Coot Pond past the pink Cafe Glad with its bottle cap Pepsi Cola sign. A wander around Fort St. Catherine and a brief stop at another fort (Victoria?).
Departure at the Bermuda Air Terminal, a BOAC 707 take off and a DC-6? is parked....
