As in Japan, I have a soft spot for temples, the architecture, the atmosphere, rich in culture and tradition, and the usually peaceful surroundings, and Chaloem Phra Kiat Temple is no exception.
Nicely located nearby the river, in a local neighbourhood in Nonthaburi, not a tourist in sight, just the monks living there, and a few locals who went to make merit.

Wat Chaloem Phrakiat Worawihan Nonthaburi Thailand
Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat temple is a royal monastery and was constructed under the royal command of King Rama III, which he dedicated to his mother and grandparents who resided in this area. The construction was completed in the reign of King Rama IV. The temple has a combination of architecturally designed Thai and Chinese-style ubosot (chapel), which can be seen in an attractively peaceful temple compound.
Located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River just behind Khwan Market in Nonthaburi is an ancient temple which is exceptionally decorated.

Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat phrachomklao rachanusorn lampang is about an hour's drive from Lampang. It's definitely a miracle. You can see several white padogas on super high mountains. Magnificent! And when you climb to the top, morning bell and evening drum make you feel calm and peaceful. Wonderful place for Zen Meditation.

How to get there?
If you are already in the center of Lampang and don't have a car you can rent a songtaew (yellow cab) from 1,500 to 2,200 baht, this will be your ride back and forth.
The drive from the town to Wat Chaloem Phrakiat will took around 1.5-2 hrs depending on the speed of your driver. When you reach the bottom of the mountain, you have to pay a fee of 100 baht for another ride going up and down of the mountain. It is quite steep so you can't have the songtaew going up there, and I guess it is also business.
As you reach your destination, there will be two choices for you to go to:
1st: Buddha's big foot which is 150 meter walk.
2nd: The temple which is a 800 meter walking, this one is exhausting but I recommend not to miss this one.
Tips: Go to both, used the 150 meter walk as a warm up, then hit that 800 meter walk/hike.. haha..
After seeing the temple, you can ask the driver of songtaew to take you to some tourist spot nearby the area. Our driver took us to Chaeson waterfalls and hotspring and Angon farm (Grape farm).
When the day is through, throw your clothes on the floor and hit the hay! I am positive you will passes out. Haha.

Suspension Bridge at Nan River Thailand
Nördlich von Nan gibt es eine Hängebrücke. ( Stand Dez. 2009 ) Es ist mit einer kleinen Suche verbunden! Also man fährt auf der Str.Nr.1080 von Nan - Pua.Man kommt am Airport vorbei, nach etwa 5km wird es zweispurig, und die Straße zieht leicht an. Dann kommt eine Rechtskurve, und nach weiteren 2 km geht eine kleine Straße ( Nr.? vergessen ) rechts ab. Mit leichtem Gefälle. Einfach Testen!! Nach et. 5km kommt rechts ein kleines Dorf. Rechts ins Dorf und dort einfach die Stráße entlang ,bis zum Fluß. Einfach Fragen!!
Wir hatten bei unserer Tour, auch nur sehr vage Angaben. Die Gegend kann man sehr gut mit dem Moped erkunden. Es ist relativ wenig Verkehr. Viel Spaß!!!
