Wat Ban Rai or “Elephant Temple” is a wonderful and marvelous elephant-shaped Buddhist temple, located between Korat and Chaiyaphum in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeastern Thailand.
Located in the middle of a lake comprising an area of 48,562 square meters, it is one of the most fascinating temples in Thailand. Besides its stunning design in the shape of an elephant, Wat Ban Rai features amazing paints and statues.
The temple was conceived by the revered monk Luang Phor Koon Parisuttho who passed away in 2015.
Wat Ban Rai (Elephant Temple) is one of the most significant temples for Isan people as well for all Thais. Worshippers from across the country come there to pay their respect to Luang Phor Khoon.
Wat Ban Rai (Elephant Temple) is a 100 million baht temple (around 2,626,000 euros) which was built from donations and personal contributions.

「タイ・ラオス・カンボジア一人旅 2018」エピソード7です。ボラベン高原には数多くの美しい滝が点在しています。今回はそのうちの3か所を訪れました。
動画で紹介できなかった（し忘れた）追加インフォメーション。
訪れた時期は乾季の1月半ばのため全体に水量が少な目です。ラオス南部ではだいたい11月～4月が乾季、5月～10月が雨季という感じです。時期により各滝の雰囲気もかなり異なるのではないかと思います。
今回自分はレンタルバイクで回りましたが、パクセーの旅行会社で車をチャーターするのが安全で便利な方法だと思います。また、パクセーのダーオフアン市場からはパークソン行きのドイサン（ソンテウ）も出ています。

So, what should have been a routine journey ended up in a mad rush.
I got to the airport checked in, waited for the plane and off I went.
Things then took a turn for the worse and after some rushing around and some frantic searching on Air BNB things ended up going well.
