Eating Scallops, Shrimp and Crab at Banzaan Food Market Market in Phuket Thailand. Delicious Thai Seafood in Patong Phuket Thailand.
This was a meal my family and I had at Banzan Fresh Food Market in Patong in Phuket Thailand. Banzaan Market is open every day from 7am till 9pm and its Google Maps coordinates are:
The market is not far from Junceylon Shopping Mall and the Thai food there is delicious! At this market you can buy the seafood from downstairs and take the food upstairs for the vendors at the Thai restaurants there to cook. The vendors charge different prices per kilogram to cook the food purchased at the market. The meal we had in the video cost 800 baht for cooking and 1,250 baht for the seafood from the market. The restaurant area is clean and comfortable and the staff seem very friendly. And the food we had was delicious!

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

Philippines Street Food - AMAZING Filipino Food at Aling Sosing's Carinderia in Manila!
One of the best Filipino food meals you can eat in Manila!
►Subscribe to my channel for more food videos:
Aling Sosing's is often considered to be one of the best carinderias, or local Filipino food restaurants, in all of Manila. The crowd that shows up to eat lunch here everyday reinforces the fact that they are no doubt one of the spots you want to be in Manila, if you’re a food lovers. When I was eating in Manila, eating at Aling Sosing's was certainly among the best local Filipino food restaurants that I tried.
Aling Sosing's is a very typical type of local street food restaurant, sitting on the corner of a street, near to Makati. Just like most carinderias, all the food is prepared ahead of time, and sits at the front of the restaurant. When you arrive to order, you just simply pick and choose the different dishes that you want to order, find a table, and they will bring you the dishes to your table. Additionally, some of the famous dishes to eat at Aling Sosing's are off the grill, and you’ll smell the wonderful aroma of the grilling meats the entire time you’re eating, and it’s fantastic.
Ying and I arrived about 11 am on a weekday, and luckily we beat the main lunch traffic, but just barely. There were tables available when we arrived, but as soon as we sat down and order it filled up. Sof if you eat at Aling Sosing's Carinderia you might want to arrive before the main lunch rush. Additionally, some of the Filipino food dishes sell out fast, and they don’t cook them again for the day - once they are sold out, they are done for the day.
Here are the main Filipino dishes I ordered:
Pinakbet - A stew of mixed vegetables, oftentimes flavored with shrimp paste. This was the best versions of pinakbet I’ve ever had.
Inihaw na tilapia - The grilled tilapia is quite well known at this restaurant. It was simple and delicious.
Inihaw na liempo - The grilled pork belly is one of their signature dishes, and it’s every bit as good and smoky as it looks.
Kaldereta - A Filipino food I love so much is kaldereta, a goat stew, mainly because I love goat so much. It was oily, but really good.
Adobong pusit - I saw the squid the pot and decided to try it out. It was a little on the sweet side.
Pork BBQ - Fresh off the grill, Ying and I ordered some of their pork bbq. The pork was tender and lathered in bbq, it was amazing.
Total price - 640 PHP ($12.90)
If you’re looking for a local Filipino restaurant in Manila that I think serves some of the best Filipino food, Aling Sosing's is a restaurant you’re going to want to check out. The food is awesome, the setting and positive atmosphere is refreshing, and the constant smoke from the grill will keep your nose happy and wanting more!

RIVER KWAI, THAILAND - travel shorts
The River Kwai, more correctly Kwai Noi (Thai: แควน้อย, English small tributary) or Kwai Sai Yok (แคว ไทรโยค), is a river in western Thailand, near, but not over the border with Myanmar. It begins at the confluence of Ranti, Songkalia and Bikhli Rivers. At Kanchanaburi it merges with the Kwai Yai River to form the Mae Klong river, which empties into the Gulf of Thailand at Samut Songkhram.
The river is chiefly known from the Pierre Boulle novel and David Lean film The Bridge on the River Kwai, in which Australian, Dutch and British prisoners of war were forced by the Japanese to construct two parallel bridges spanning the river as part of the Burma Railway, also called the Death Railway, for the many lives lost in its construction. One bridge was wooden and temporary. The other was made of concrete and steel and still exists. The bridges actually spanned the Mae Klong, but as the railway subsequently follows the Kwai Noi Valley, the bridges became famous under the wrong name. In the 1960s, the upper part of the Mae Klong was renamed the Kwai Yai (big tributary).
A military history of the building of the bridges during World War II can be found in Professor Peter Davies's biography of the British officer Philip Toosey, The Man Behind the Bridge: Colonel Toosey and the River Kwai. The book, and an associated BBC Timewatch documentary, challenge many of the inaccuracies portrayed in Boulle's novel and Lean's film.

Philip wins national speech contest.
Video kindly supplied from Stamford University in Bangkok Photos on stamford.edu : ...
Quoted article from Phuketgazette.com: Phuket student to represent Thailand in international public speaking competition Former QSI Phuket student Philip Songkran Upton has won the International Public Speaking Competition (Thailand) 2011. He will represent Thailand in the global finals of the competition in London in May this year. Philip was one of four Stamford International University (STIU) students who competed against 14 other students in the semi-final round of the competition on February 25. The contest, organized by the Ministry of Education and the English Speaking Union, is open to Thai students from high schools and universities across Thailand. The other three STIU students were Ms Suchanart Preecha, Mr Napas Nilobolvong and Ms Hataichanok Chantaluksuk. Phillip and Hataichanok qualified for the final round, along with two competitors from Chulalongkorn University and one from Assumption University (ABAC). The final round began on March 18, with competitors speaking on the theme Words Are Not Enough. I had to think about, in what cases when words aren't enough, explained Philip. I wrote about the first things that came to my mind -- saying one thing, but doing another; promises; the differences between a manager and a leader; and examples of people to back up my points. I knew what I wanted to write about -- words and actions -- so I made that the title and the central idea of my speech, he added. First of all, I would like to thank my professor at my university, William Stanley, for helping me through the editing and the rehearsing. We spent a lot of time doing my speech over and over again to get it right. Another person I would like to thank is a former teacher back in my high school in Phuket, Rachel Geary. She also assisted me in the editing and was probably the teacher that helped me out the most in terms of how to write good essays, he said. Also to my friends, family, and university for supporting me through this. I'll do my best to represent my university and my country at the competition in London. ............
Now I am going to reveal that Philip is my son, but he is half Thai as his mother/my wife is Thai; very well done Philip and good luck in London, UK for worldwide speech contest! ....
(I also played audio from video of his winning speech in Bangkok on Radio Thailand Phuket FM90.5 at 8-9am for Good Morning Andaman program on Sunday 10 April 2010.):

Ansonsten habe ich mir ganz bequem und ohne STress noch etwas die Stadt angeschaut.
