Apart from respecting to the Buddha Image, visitors also come here in order to make a respect to holy relics in Ketkaew Prasat Chedi. This temple is situated in Tha #Muang District, where visitors can stop over before arriving in the city of Kanchanaburi. 1237 steps to the top. It took me about 40 minutes to the top. The view is amazing from the top. I love the mountains a lot aroound Krabi in Thailand.

The are many many temples to see in Kanchanaburi, this is by far one of the most interesting and picturesque. Wat Tham Sua is perched high on a mountain and although there is a cable car available to the main level there are still many steps to climb if you want to see everything.
The Astonishing Wat Tham Sua in Kanchanaburi | Delon Serino
Before closing and coming home from Kanchanaburi, we headed for a quick stop at an astonishing temple found on a hill in Chum district. The Tiger Temple, or Wat Tham Sua, is a picturesque temple. Before reaching it, you need to climb 157 steps before seeing its grandeur. Not a fan of climbing, well, you can take a cable car ride to the top though.

Wat Tham Sua Tiger Cave Temple 萬虎洞@Kanchanaburi
來到北碧府，萬虎洞是必看的景點之一。
位於山頂的廟宇裡有做高達18米的鍍金大佛， 從遠處就可以看見閃著金光的大佛散發著迷人的風采。
由於它位於山頂，遊客可以乘搭纜車直接來到頂端也是就萬虎洞了。旁邊有座巨大的老虎雕像，雕像邊就是大名鼎鼎的鍍金大佛了。廟宇的佔地面積很廣，繞到神廟的另一側，可以看見大大小小的鐘鑼掛在一側，遊客可以根據指示敲響它們，據說可以得到好運。
整個寺廟裡最神奇的要數“禮拜佛”的祭拜方式，根據出身於週幾而找到各自的禮拜佛（又稱守護神，如周1守護神，週二守護神等等）而祭拜，當地也有全自動式的求籤服務，並且會用英文解釋簽符的意思。
如果身體力行的遊客還可以爬上廟裡的佛塔，每一層供奉著不同的佛像，並且裝潢和設計也不盡相同，可以原原本本的感受它的美，到了塔頂時，可以透過小窗口看見整個萬虎洞的全貌，很是漂亮。
最後，神廟的四周圍是一望無際美麗的稻田，綠色的稻田配上金黃色的寺廟，這是個絕美的景觀，即使不是佛教徒，也可以來欣賞它的美。

Wat Baan Tham is located at Khao Noi Sub District, Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi. It is only five kilometers far from Wat Tham Sua if you take Mae Nam Mae Klong road. The stairs which will bring you to the cave give you a feel like you are walking through a mouth of a dragon. There is one stalactite inside the cave which somehow looks like a women body. It was named after Bua Kli who is a wife of Khun Paen in a legend Thai folklore, Khun Chang Khun Phaen.
Wat Baan Tham is an ancient temple which carried down for many generations. The rear area of the temple lies next to the mountains while the front lies next to Mae Klong river. There is one beautiful strand near the entrance of the temple. The mountain where Wat Baan Tham stands on is 200 meters high. The mountain is wide and long to the north western side and ends at Khao Laem and Khao Tok Tham Mangkon Thong Pak. The cave is the place where Phra Buddha Chinnarat and the stalactite of Bua Kli placed.
It has been said in the history that this temple was first built in the reign of Sukhothai. The cave was discovered by a rich man. Later, he decided to invite Luang Po Thong, the first abbot, to stay over here as the cave looks nice with the winds blowing all day long. Luang Po Thong was a very well-known monk and he pet one of a Magpie bird and taught it about how to speak. Thus, presently, you can still spot Magpie birds around the cave and the surrounding area.
Sacred objects and places which any visitors should not miss at any reasons:
- The old Buddhist sanctuary which is where the Buddha image in the attitude of meditation stays together with Mokkallana and Saributr statues.
- The new Buddhist sanctuary which is where the imitate of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, that was made at Wat Che Pa Khaow, Phitsanulok, installed.
- Tham Ku Ha Mangkorn Sawan or Tham Bua Kli where the holy yet well-known Phra Buddha Chinnarat installed.
- Many more caves await you to discover such as Tham Man Vichitr, Tham Khun Paen, Tham Dok Jok, Tham Dusit, Tham Muen Han, Tham Nang Nual and Tham Nang Norn.
If you reach at the peak of the mountain, you will be impressed by the stunning views of greenish mountains and trees which can somehow take your breath away.

Traveling up to pay homage can walk up the stairs. When going up to the top, you can see the view of Mae Klong Dam too. Tham Sua Temple is about 5 km away from the Mae Klong Dam. Thailand Explorer: Wat Tham Sua and Wat Tham Khao Noi in Kanchanaburi
Wat Tham Sua and Wat Tham Khao Noi in Kanchanaburi is perched on top of a rocky hill overlooking the Mae Klong Hill, affording visitors an amazing view of the river valley.
The twined Temples are quite different with Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave Temple) having a Thai design and a large covered Buddha Image and Wat Tham Khao Noi being a Chinese design and a large overlooking Chinese pagoda.
Wat Tham Sua offers a cable car to visit the main level of the Temple. Once on the main level, there are still many steps to take for the determined traveler to get to the top of the large chedi adjacent to the large covered Buddha. The views are worth the trip to the top.
Wat Tham Khao Noi has a labyrinth of steps winding through the temple to the Pagoda. The Pagoda has also many spiriling steps to the top. But again, the work is worth it for the awesome views of both Wat Tham Sua and the Mae Klong River Valley.
Carrières abandonnées de Khao Noi prés de Tha Muang
Découverte au début d'une vallée entourées de montagnes à quelques kilomètres de Wat Tham Sua*.
Sur des carrières abandonnées aux pieds des monts des grottes de cristal, ou est installé le petit temple qui surplombe la vallée de Tha Muang se dressent un curieux vestige d'installations métalliques oxydées semblables, vue du ciel, à de gigantesques langoustes échouées.
Un lieux aussi idéal qu'improbable pour venir jouer au FPV dans cette étendue assez désertique terminée par un canyon de graviers oubliés. Des oiseaux ressemblant a des hirondelles bleutées, ont creusé des dentelles de nids dans les parois de gravier solidifiées depuis plusieurs saisons alternées de pluies et de sécheresses.
Cet environnement minéral envahi ça et là de végétations rapidement séchées par le soleil, crée un paysage
lunaire surprenant.
Les petites gorges de 4 à 5 mètres de profondeur dessinent de curieux contours sinueux aux courbes imprévisibles et variées très intéressantes pour s’entraîner a piloter.

WatTham Sua features several buildings in various architectural styles as well as a large seated Buddha image on top of the hill. From the top visitors have great views of the surrounding rural area and the mountains in the distance. The top can be reached by climbing a steep stairway or using a cable car (20 Thai Baht)

ครั้งแรกกับการเที่ยวชมและไหว้สักการะพระพุทธรูปปางประทานพรองค์ใหญ่ที่สุดในกาญจนบุรี หลวงพ่อชินประทานพรที่วัดถ้ำเสือ อ.ท่าม่วง จ.กาญจนบุรี ซึ่งเป็นวัดที่มีความอลังการทางด้านสถาปัตยกรรม โดยทางขึ้นจะเป็นบันไดค่อนข้างสูงและชัน(ในคลิปเราพูดว่ามีบันได 300 ขั้น แต่ดูแล้วไม่น่าจะถึงนะคะ^^*) เป็นอีกทริปที่สนุกและประทับใจมากๆ กาญจนบุรีทริป 5 ก.ค 2560 ...Kanchanaburi Trip 5/7/2017
