Phu Tub Berk, Khao Kho,Phetchabun
Phu Tub Berk, sometimes also spelt Phu Tubberg, can be found in Phetchabun province. Phetchabun is in the lower part of northern Thailand. Phu Tub Berk is the tallest mountain within the province, with a height of almost 1,800 metres. As you journey higher up the mountain you can feel the temperature getting cooler and cooler – make sure you take a sweater, especially if you are planning on spending the night at one of the campsites on the mountainside.
The mountain is home to many people from the Hmong ethnic group. They make a living from farming, and you’ll notice many stalls selling locally grown fresh produce. Many Hmong people wear their traditional dress, and it’s not uncommon to spot groups of small children wearing their customary clothes as they run and play on the mountain.
One of the main products is cabbages and, although this doesn’t sound too interesting at first, seeing the stretching cabbage fields really .The cooler temperatures are also good for growing strawberries. It is possible to go into some fields and you’ll certainly get some great there are also many flower fields that look really beautiful when in bloom.
There are several other places of interest not too far away, including the popular Khao Kho, another mountain that is well-known for its lovely views and Swiss-style resorts, waterfalls, lakes, and temples. Of particular interest is Wat Trai Phum with its.
Wat Mahathat,Nikon Bamrung Road, Phetchabun, Phetchabun Province, Thailand. ( 2 )
Wat Mahathat Phetchabun, Thailand. on Nikon Bamrung Road in town, houses several ancient Chedi's of Sukhothai style. Situated in Muang Phetchabun municipality.
It seemed strange seeing this Temple as there is another Wat Mahathat I visited in Ayutthaya last year in 2010. However this Temple is totally different to that at Ayutthaya as you will see. Within the grounds is a school for the training of Buddhist Monks and many where around the day I visited this fine Temple/ This monastery is an ancient temple which HRH Prince Damrong presumed that this monastery might be constructed during Sukhothai period. Wat Mahathat has the important objects of worship such as, Phum Khao Binth styled pagoda has been presumed that it might be constructed about B.E. 1926 ( 1383 ). This pagoda is a place that comprises Buddha's relics, Orrahan's ( saint ) ashes, and small images of Buddha in several styles. Two Buddha images of the U-Thong period whose laps are 36 inches wide. One is housed in the main chapel and the other is housed in the vihara of Wat Mahathat.
Khaosai Galaxy Boxing Highlight | The Thai Tyson
Boxing Highlight of The Thai Tyson Khaosai Galaxy.
Khaosai Galaxy was a super flyweight boxer from Phetchabun province in Thailand who started out as a muay Thai fighter before switching to Marquis of Queensbury style and competing in international style boxing. Due to this switch, Khaosai lacked the amateur experience that most boxers gained while working their way through the ranks. Instead, early on in his career, he relied on his toughness and his incredibly powerful left hand which he would develop to become arguably the most powerful punch in the history of the super flyweight division. As Khaosai gained experience as a western boxer, he developed a more well-rounded game, although his game plan was always to close his opponents down, measure with his right and knock them out with his famous left.
Apart from two fights in Japan, Khaosai fought only in his native Thailand in packed out stadiums and would earn fight purses of more than $100,000.
In 1984, Khaosai knocked out Eusebio Espinal to win the vacant WBA Super Flyweight Title and defended his belt a record-breaking 19 times over the next 7 years, winning 16 of those bouts by knockout. He retired in 1991 with a record of 49 wins and 1 loss (43 knockouts).
In 1999, Khaosai Galaxy was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and is considered by many to be the greatest western boxer from Thailand in history. Ring Magazine also ranked him at #19 in the 100 Greatest Punchers of all Time list and #43 in the Greatest Fighters of the Last 80 Years list in 2002.

Prasat Phanom Rung - Thailand 4K Travel Channel
The Khmer temple complex Phanom Rung is approx. 50 km south of Buriram and 25 km off the Cambodian border. Phanom Rung lies on an about 400 m high extinct volcano. The temple was built between the 10th and 12th centuries under the rule of the Principality of the Mahidharapura dynasty, which was largely independent of Angkor.
It is considered the most beautiful Khmer temple in Thailand and is sometimes referred to as the small Angkor Wat.
We reach the temple over a 160 m long footpath. The Naga bridge, which symbolizes the transition from the secular to the spiritual world, leads to a steep staircase.
A small bridge between four basins forms the entrance to the actual temple.
The finely crafted stone portraits are famous. The relief at the entrance of the Mondop, showing Shiva on the back of the Naga King, did not come back until 1986 from a museum in Chicago.
Inside the Prasat Phanom Rung, the tower in the middle of the temple, one renders homage to a sacred ox.
The gate at the back of the temple is guarded by 2 tall lion-like creatures, the Singhas .
A street through the jungle connected Phanom Rung with the approx. 150 km remote Angkor Wat.
