30 Tips for Backpacking in New Zealand ➜
-- About this video --
This afternoon, we check in at the Queenstown Rafting office in Queenstown on Shotover St then get picked up to hit the Queenstown Rafting base along the Shotover River. There, we get geared up before being taken on the dreaded Skippers Road at the Skippers Canyon. Yes, this is the third time we are doing an activity down one of the world’s most dangerous roads!
Once we get to the launch point to go white water rafting on the Shotover River, we have a safety briefing then divide into rafts. White water rafting is a team sport so we all have to work together to make sure we get over the rapids in one piece. The Shotover River is also one of the top New Zealand white water rafting locations.
The first part of the Shotover River is gentle giving us time to practice paddle commands with our guide before hitting the grade 3 rapids. As we go along the stunning Shotover River, the rapids get bigger, scarier and more extreme!
Our finale ends with a 172m long tunnel leading to a waterfall! Then it’s out of the rafts and to the cafe where they have a sauna. That was such an awesome place to go white water rafting in New Zealand!
So what do you think of Queenstown white water rafting? Would you go rafting in Queenstown? LUK in the comments!

Hydro Attack Queenstown Semi Submersible Shark Ride Video
Hydro Attack is the world's first tour operator of the amazing Seabreacher X watercraft.
Operating from our berth in central Queenstown we will take you on an adrenaline-packed tour of stunning Lake Wakatipu. Sit back in the state-of-the-art cockpit of our semi-submersible shark and get ready to feel the g-forces as one of our expert pilots gives you an experience you'll never forget. Looking through the F-16 fighter-grade glass you will see the sky disappear as your pilot descends into a dive underwater for 5-15 seconds and then launches the entire 18ft of the shark into the air. We can roll on a 90' angle, do tight doughnut turns and so much more. With top speeds of 80 kph on water and 40 kph underwater this ride is guaranteed to get your heart pumping. Trips are one-on-one so you can push your own limits flying above or below the crystal clear waters. So there is only one question left.

ADRENALINE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD | QUEENSTOWN, NEW ZEALAND
S3: VLOG _040
Completed the road trip with my m8, Mato Hill, to Queenstown, New Zealand! One of my favorite locations in New Zealand. Jam packed with tons of activities like skydiving, luging, hiking, water sports, haunted houses, helicopter tours, and plenty more! Although there are many activities, Queenstown is very expensive!
Mato left in the morning back to Christchurch for work. Luckily I've made some new friends in the hostel and we head over to a mini golf place and play a quick 18 holes. Later in the day we head over to a small town near Queenstown called Arrowtown.
Arrowtown is an old and small town that looks like it got stuck in time. It resembles the old west in the USA. It was once a gold mining location here in New Zealand. My m8's and I head to their skate park and see some more adrenaline sports!

Canyoning in Queenstown New Zealand
On our honeymoon in New Zealand, Moonie and I did a half day Canyoning tour with Canyon Explorers, and it was amazing!
The scenery was beautiful, the instructors were fun and knowledgeable, and the entire group was vibing!
The half day tour wasn't that challenging if you have a moderate level of fitness, and next time we are definitely keen to do the more challenging full day canyoning trip.
New Zealand Food tour | BEST NEW ZEALAND FOOD | GIANT BLUFF oysters | ICONIC Kiwi foods
We're home in New Zealand and are so excited to bring you this 4 part series on the best food in our homeland. This is our third New Zealand video and it's based in Bluff and Invercargill in the South Island of New Zealand. We start our food tour at Fowler's Oysters in Bluff. Bluff is famous for its oysters and Fowler's are a third generation family fishery. We tuck into two dozen freshly shucked Bluff oysters and also sample their deep fried Bluffies.
We continue our New Zealand food tour in Invercargill, New Zealand's southern most city. We eat some real Kiwi classics- Southland cheese rolls and titi or muttonbird- a famous meat down in these parts. We finish off with a lamb, kumara and mint pie from Fat Bastard Pies- a popular local bakery. Huge thanks to His Worship Sir Tim Shadbolt for being such a good sport and making a cameo in our video!

New Zealand - South Island -2014
Visited New Zealand's South Island this summer/January 2014. It was a 10 day self-drive trip through some of the great natural places on the planet. NZ South Island is sparsely populated. The large parts of western areas are preserved as world heritage forests.
Much of south island depend on tourism. Summer temperature ranges 18-25 degrees and is cool. Some mountains ranges still covered in snow. It is perfect for outdoor activities like bush-walking, water sports etc.
We had a great time. If you like the great outdoors NZ's South Island is a good place to visit.
