Crete | Ammoudara Beach. Ammoudara beach is located in the town of Heraklion. It is a very long sandy beach extending 7 Km to the west of the city. Access to the beach is easy. However its a good walk from the city center.
On every part of the Ammoudara beach you'll find umbrellas, sunbeds, snack bars and water sports for those who love action. The waters are shallow but sometimes there might be small waves because the beach is exposed to summer winds.
The Ammoudara beach is popular but nevertheless you can easily find a place to relax and enjoy the sun.
